This number has called my cell several times and they never leave a message.  It can't be called back.  Today I answered and when I said hello, some male voice (not foreign sounding) said (my name) "Hi Mary?" I told him he had the wrong number and hug up.  Guessing some kind of collection agency, maybe?

I get a call from this number daily. Usually about the same time in the evening.  I answer, then hang up immediately.  It's getting very annouying.

I received a call today from Noreen Galano in HR at AIL in Redmond, WA.

I just got a call from Lorraine at AIL in relation to my resume I sent her. Nope, nope can't say that I did send her my resume. I am job hunting so somebody sold my information to her. Damn it!

also adding to my previous message, AIL "American Income Life" in Redmond has been closed for years.  Check out this site which is the state's Department of Revenue.  It will tell you the status of businesses in WA to be sure you aren't being scammed.

So I got a call from this number today from a lady who claimed the following:

She was from AIL
She was in the HR department
She received my email via a craigslist job ad that I applied for.
She had several questions for me.

1) I never applied for a job through craigslist for this company.  I know because I only applied for ONE craigslist post and I know it wasn't AIL for sure.  
2) This incidentally coincided with recent activity of meeting with staffing agents from places like Volt, Office Team, and Business Careers.  

Has anyone else been contacted by this number when they commenced job searching and signed up with staffing agencies?  

When you got a call, were you actively seeking employment or was it just random?  Just wondering if we can identify a pattern here.  

The lady sounded VERY professional and convincing.  I am glad everyone who commented before has provided so much useful information.

Also received a call from 425-885-2838 "This is Noreen Galano in Human Resources at AIG, we received your resume from Beyond.com. Please call me back at 425-882-5931". After reading these posts and The Rip Off Report I can only guess.

Called 3 times. Never left message.

Called received on 10/07/2008 at 8:21 p.m.  No message left.  First time I got a call from this number.

AIL pulled my resume from the Washington State Worksource website

A guy who's name I could not understand left a message aroound 7 pm last night that "he had a few questions" regarding an employment opportunity. He left a call back number of 425-882-5963. I have no interest in selling insurance. Thank God for Google!

Also, got a message from this phone company saying they received my Resume - I had searched and applied for many positions and honestly couldn't remember, so I answered a few questions and they asked me to come in for an interview. What a sham, I think I'm going to report this.

American Income Life Insurance, pulled my number from monster.com.  I love google voice!

I just got a call from them. They are my insurance provider.
I didn't answer because I was in another room.
Not sure if I will answer it next time they call.

I got at call at 7pm but didn't recognize it so didn't answer it. They didn't leave a message. Looked it up on Google and found this site.

Got to YOU TUBE they will show you what to do with a holes like them. The call I got was from Washington State.

"Thank you for calling AIL, American Income Life..." That's what the recording says when you call the number back.

I received two calls today about 1hr apart on my home and my cell numbers.  I didn't answer either time, didn't know the number.  I love this site.

Unfamiliar number has called twice, I knew not to answer the first time as I searched the number up on this website before answering. The two calls were about a week apart.

This number first called my cell phone and did not leave a message.  Two minutes later, it called my home phone and did not leave a message.  They've been calling my home phone now every half hour for the last 3 1/2 hours.  I find this beyond rude.  Both of my phone numbers are on the national Do Not Call list.  I'm reporting them to the FCC.

THis is a call from Altig or American Income Life.  It was a middle eastern woman who was very hard to understand.  These people will do anything to hire insurance agents.

I was contacted today by this # and I couldn't understand the lady but she said she had been given my resume and wanted to see me about multiple positions that were open.  I hadn't put my resume out to anyone @ any insurance company.  I didn't even know it was an insurance company until I looked it up on google.  I dont agree with this business practice.

I got a very similar call about my resume, but I couldn't understand what the lady was saying so I had to google the number to figure out where it came from!  They must have pulled it off of Careerbuilder.

Got a call from them asking about a job interview. Turns out the company is American Life Insurance. I don't know how they got my resume but they told be that I had submitted it to them a few days ago. I asked what position I had applied for and the lady said they were hiring for many positions.

they called and said they were to do a phone job interview. was no one i knew. hung up.
