717-862-4080 called me and was very stern, asking for an alias to a business I used 3 years ago on the phone number. Told him no one was on this number by that name, told him it was a personal phone number and he hung up.

I got a call from the same number trying to sell a Credit Card merchant account.

Got a call. Nobody on the other end. Darn, no fake bill collector to yell at.

Sounds like these scanners have thick skins. Nothing you say will stop them. Next time blow a loud whistle in your phone they wear headsets.  LOL!

Two calls today from 717-862-4080 threatening "legal action". Line had some  static and the caller spoke with what seemed an Indian accent.

I'll do what I can to hunt down this cretin.

I was just checking my vm messages from yesterday.  The caller said his name was "Officer Adam Smith" - or at least that's what it sounded like; there was static in the line and he had a very heavy foreign accent.  I know this is regarding a payday loan, but he said there is a lawsuit pending against me, and he needs me to call before they take the papers to the courthouse.  (I'll pay them back when I have the money.  But right now, I just can't do it.)  What I really wanted to say was, if there is a lawsuit pending, I would have received the papers and not a phone call...  Sounds like bad collection practices to me.  Also, he said he was with "American Legal Proecssing Division" and that he is an "officer" by title.  Loan officer?  Police officer?  These are not legitimate collection practices.  Don't respond - I'm not going to.

Bank router is not a secret.  Don't be alarm by it.

This Mike Stone also called me. He threatened to call the police to pick me up from my home address. How do these peole get this information and How can we stop them? I reported them to my local police department and local FBI office. I am just returning from a tour of duty in Iraq and serve proudly in the US army. These people need to be stopped, before someone else is affected by them.

This number is a fraud. It was an attempt to gain access to my accounts. Please help to stop them.

I don't think they knew you had a loan.  That is what this Indian (Mike, Stone) told me that I have a loan and there is law suit from "Fast Cash Now" against me.  I have not had any loans except student loans that are very safe since it is federal loans.  I knew then they were scammers.

I got a call from this number.  He definitely is from the country of India.  BIG SCAMMER.  I asked him to fax me the paperwork right now he disagreed to do.  Then he hung up.

amazingly enough, i called the police. And they told me it was real. i just turned 18 years old and im being accused of criminal charges and credit card fraud?! i havent even had a credit card, so my first suspicion is that someone stole my identity. i mean i know that would be a tragedy to any one but im about to graduate next week, and i pretty much am in tears right now thinking my life was all messed up because of some idiot stealing my identity. but i am happy i read this because i have a world of relief lifted off my shoulders. I feel better now knowing its just a scam and not to give any information out anywhere anymore.

i just charged my phone for the first time in days, had tons of voicemail messages. one being from this number. the guy said  "a law suit complaint has been filed against me and as of now my social security number is currently under investigation." WTF? heavy indian accent, window down sound in the background as well. this is bs and nothing to worry about, right? he had my home address, but when he addressed me he simply called me "ashley... m." ahah. oh, it was from "officer john mcclain" from american legal or something.

yea i have recieved the same type calls from a officer rodger johnson on my voice mail the phone sounds like that are talking in the car with the window down and strong indan accent. they have tried to call me at work also who can i report them to?

I love the Names...Officer John McClain ....Officer Steve Hunter...I spoke to officer Steve Hunter today...The number coming up now is not a number it just shows up 85235461 ??? I told him this was a scam and to stop calling me.  I told him I reported him to the FBI...We kind of kept yelling at each other He said I owe him $500.00??? I hung up he called back 2 more times??

Hey I looked up a fax number they gave me, and the prefix wasnt an american number. It was canadian. Here it is 610-672-9968. Hope this helps. I have already reprted them to the FBI and My local police department.

I got two calls from this person.  Indian accent and threatening legal action. I have no idea what company this is and have never taken out a loan with ANYONE.

I have rec'd call today from a heavily accented (Indian) giving his name as "Officer John McClain" and a very harrassing message. I traced the phone number left (717-862-4080) to a Land line (no name) in Airville, PA. He stated my address and obviously he has my phone number. He said he "had my SSN and bank acct number and that he would like to settle things with me to avoid my arrest."
Well, I don't have a job that he can call and harrass, and after finding this list of scam reports I am sure he is a scammer that is going to continue until he gets caught... Maybe he is bouncing a call from another country, maybe he is just Indian that lives here now and is somehow making an illegal income from terrorizing people who somewhere had a bad debt. I'm not even going to converse with the guy... but I am going to seriously think about changing my phone number in the hopes that he can't find that.
Will report to FCC, FBI and State Atty Gen of Kansas at least.

I received a message from this phone number today. the person identified himself as "Officer John McClain" from American Legal Processing Division.  He spoke with a foreign accent similar to India.  He provided my address and email address and stated that a loss of complaint was filed against my social security number.  He told me to contact him and he would help me prior to legal action being filed.  When the call was returned, there was no identification of the company just a mailbox number with no one available....

got a  call from an indian man with an english name. he left a message on my voicemail threatening law suit against my social and had my address, dob and sttd had ssn. called back and was told it was for a payday loan, told him did not have any payday loans now nor had i ever had a payday loan and he hung up on me. tried to call back and got a generic voicemail for an extension number

I have received several calls from this number threatening legal action. I filed a complaint with the FTC and they have advised me to send a stop  and cease letter to them. MMy problem is I cannot get an address on these guys.

Call them back every 5 minutes?  I would get a kick out of that but should I give my name?  I don't want to encourage them or even verify who I am.  We have to do something, they call everyone I know at ridiculous hours that no reputable debt collector would call at!

Kelly, just make up stuff and have fun with them. they get frustrated and hang up. i had to deny everything and gave them false info and they were just stumped. dont be afraid,they cannot touch you.

I received about 10 calls in the office  the past week from this man called STEVE HUNTER. Hes saying if I don't tranfer the call to the person he wants to speak with I'll be behind bars tomorrow, so I told him I will see him there for threatning me, he went on asking for my name and address and he would come himself and get me. hahaha too dumb to be true, the guys also had an accent.
