got a call left msg- from Pete Black @ "Rollins Law Firm" looking for someone I did not know (mr.Perkons) .. within a minute I got a similar call on my shop line (downstairs).
answered next call and explained that  the person they were seeking was unknown to me, please stop calling. also asked for an address to mail a letter to- was refused.  1min after hang up shop phone rang..same squeaky foreign voice..i asked if the M..F.. was deaf.
i called back the number from the  got weird message ending in "have a blessed day"..left msg stating i wanted an adderss to mail a cease and desist letter & offering to meet face to face to resolve this matter.
I'm glad I looked at this site...I will report these clowns and attempt to track them down perhaps a "come to Jesus meeting" will help them have a blessed day?
Oh BTW if you own a whistle or boat horn try speaking softly and get the caller to listen closely then blast the whistle or horn into the mic.  just a thought......

I got two calls from this number this morning.  I didn't answer the calls but will the next time I will to see what's up.  From what you are saying, this is a fraud.  No legitimate person is going to call and blurt out that you can be arrested, especially the police.  They'll show up first.  Getting really sick of these frauds.  So let's see who the current schmuck is.

Same type of thing over and over again.  Calls everyday saying that ignoring his calls will force him to have me arrested.  I reported the number to the local police station and they told they get hundreds of these complaints a year.  Don't give them a dime!  The person has a Middle Eastern accent and says he is attorney Scott Smith.  Sure, and I'm the Queen of Siam!  Nothing but a scam!  Can't even understand the name he of the company he says he's calling from.

A guy who sounded Indian left this message, transcribed by Vonage:

"Hi this message is for ... Ms. hock(?) this is Gabrielle Conroy calling you from Federal crime investigation Department. The reason of my call is to inform you that we have received a federal complaint on your name as well as on your identity and your residential status by the United State Government. i-need-help-finding(?) a federal(?) complaint on you in reference to IRS Internal Revenue Service Department. I want you to get in touch with me at 7178890667. I repeat area code 7178890667. If you-where(?) to call me back on my direct line number. I'm sorry to inform you that you will be in a huge legal trouble. Alright. I have the same(?) investigation."

Towards the end he said that my citizenship would be revoked and that I would be deported to my country of origin and to top it off, he wished me a "blessed" day.

Debt Collector
This morning, I received a call from the local police department from someone claiming to be an officer for the city of Hesperia, CA.(760)9471500.  (What's scary is that this phone number is to the local police department, how this guy was able to access this phone line is baffling)  I did not get this officer's name, but he said that there was a warrant order for my arrest due to an upaid pay day loan, and that I would need to contact Officer John Harris @7178891003 to get it resolved.  I contacted this "fake" officer he indicated that I had an outstanding payday loan with United Cash (a company that I inquired and applied for but was turned down for a loan) He indicated this occurred in 2013.  I recently filed for bankruptcy as of last year, and I told him that I did not have an outstanding loan with this company and that I needed more information from him.  He proceeded to shout at me and told me to be in Court at 11:00 on tomorrow (I think I irritated him) and he hung up the phone abruptly.  I have been receiving these types of calls for the past three days, so much so, that I've changed my phone number.  Later on that day, I received a call from 7852606212 with the same threatening information on sending me to court or jail.    Both men had an Indian accent too.  Is there something that can be done to these predators?????

I was as tired of the phone calls as is everyone. The first few times they were not threatening as I explained that I did not have any outstanding loans. They stated that they would fax me the proof but never did. After that the threats started. I was told that they had reported me to the Fl Attorney General and I a week to send them the restution for the money I had fraudulently received or they would enforce the complaint. I was ready to hang up when I just wanted to get a shot in. I asked the man how much I fraudulently borrowed. He stated that he did not have the original amount of the loan with him but stated that the acceptable restitution was $1404.77. He stated that it would be better for me to pay that than to face jail time for felony fraud. I told him that if he would provide me with the warrant information I would turn myself over to the authorities so that they could investigate their charges. Whoops! The phone clicked and I am off their call list. It was fun.

This clown, with a Mid-Eastern accent, called our home at 6:07AM this morning. Since I was sleeping at the time, I gave the guy an earful. He said he was a pastor from Connecticut...no doubt trying to scam people after the tragic school shooting in CT. I told him I wasn't interested in his scam and hung up on him.

Ditto on one above, email query from the number 717 889-4142 in Lancaster, PA looking for nice AV gear with the name Larry Freeman, email: larryfreeman1717@att.net. Sent him a Paypal bill for the goods and once I sent it, showed up in my email with Paypal user name rezzan kumbay. That started looking kind of suspicious! Last year our company had a  shipment of HDTVs to Philadelphia. The buyer paid w/ stolen credit cards, then had the street address delivery changed to a pickup by him, unknown to us. The purchase ended up being a chargeback, and we came close to having to come up with $5K to pay it, but excellent Paypal eventually covered it with seller protection. That is probably the same tactic Larry Freeman is planning on. Tracked the IP on his email and it was in Ghana........... had sent the CC bills for a $6K purchase before I figured this out, will be interesting to see if he remits payment. It is hard when you have a business with these scams, many $6K purchases are legitimate and you certainly want to make those ones! Once it enters the email domain I think a good tactic is to track the IP, you can google how to do it. If it does not come close to the geographic location, that's red flag #1. Larry (rezzan?) contacted us first via email, included the tel number and I called him and he talked on about the gear choices quite a while.

I had noticed one of those listed on here was from NC, as well.  And another "Cpl Jason", was most likely Military; I'd guess Marine.  He's probably stationed in Camp Lejeune, NC.  I myself was also stationed here.
I recently received fraudulent transactions using my Check Card information.  Contacted the vendor, and received a shipping address in Wilkes Barre, PA.  We then used this to search addresses in the area for associated information, i.e. phone numbers, etc.  Sure enough, multiple fake businesses as well as a Non-Profit all linked to MagicJack numbers used in Lancaster, PA.  Bottomline: Suspect's name is Robert "Bob" Moore,  a former Marine IT Systems Engineer, exploiting access to personal information located in government databases.  Number used in this instance, (717) 889-9187.

This guy called and said I owe money for a payday loan and if I don't pay by Monday the police will be at my door to arrest me.  He seemed to know a lot of personal information about me.   He would not give the company name saying it's about you not me.  Said he's calling from the capital and he's the attorney bishop.  WHAT does that mean?

Did he have a middle eastern accent and give you an americanized name?  Is he threatening to have you arrested as well as people you may have used as a reference? If so, then yes this is a scam. I fell victim to it and have wisened up, but it was an exspensive lesson.  First, contact the companies tha you had loans with to see if they ahve been paid off.  If he gave you the name of a loan company he probably also said something like "they own 50 different companies so he cannot pinpoint the exact lender" (that is false) If he gave you the name of a cmpany call them to verify.  This scam has been running a long time they prey on people who have applied for online loans. Your informaiotn has been bought or stolen, that how they know so much.  They use the threats of calling your employer or people you used as references to try to get you to pay. I bet he said you had to fax him an apology letter, but the fax number had a code than the number he was calling from.  You  need to tell him you are aware this is a scam and that you have reported it to your state attorney general, the FBI and Homeland Security ( and you need to do just that) Do a google search of the name andnumber he gave you and you will find countless others, like me, who have been a victim of this.  I check this site, 800notes.com, scamwarners and fraud watch daily.  These people constantly switch name and phone numbers and you will probably get more calls over the next months, I have.  One did acutally call my emploiyer, I had already informed him that this may happen and he told the guy off. These people are leeches and the best way to stop them is for all of us to keep posting about them.

The person calls every day for the past year and a half trying to collect money for a debt that doesn't exist. I checked them out and they are fronting to be calling from a pay day loan company. The name they use ties them to your number. Like if their bogus file has your phone number and your name they use certain names so if you call back and reference their name they know what number they called. It's lets them know it's a viable number and they continue the scam on your number.

The caller states that he is Investigator Stigall and he is working in connection with my local police department. He named the payday loan company that I owe, saying he has proof of (3) counts of fraud. He claims to be able to do a "stop action" on an arrest warrant if I send the payment via Money Gram or credit card. he continuously calls my home and wotk place. I am seeking legal action at this very moment against him (in preparation for his next phone call).

When I told him that he seemed very disappointed. I gave him the main hospital number and hung up. Beware...he is fishing for information.

These are your typical scum of the earth type characters. Caller called my office asking for a fellow coworker, starting in with the same spill about being an investigator. Before she could finish, I interrupted asking did she realize she had just called the police dept. She hung up abruptly. Now, they're the ones being "investigated". So far, from what we've found, this is not a legitimate agency.
