so i got a call from this number a little while ago but i was half asleep when it was ringing, so i answered it and the robot said that my credit was at risk sos when i pressed 1 to talk to someone i got transfered to someone in india....

i asked what the f*** is going on and only heard him say gimme your account number to check something.

so i hung up. definitely one of the weirder calls iv gotten in awhile.

Got a phone call (12:58pm) from an out-of-state number that I didn't "know" or recognize.
(Does this mean that they are involved in Interstate Fraud?)  
They, of course, left no message.  
As always, I didn't answer, but looked up the number here.  

I am on the National Do-Not-Call List, and have been for a number of years now.  
(I guess this is our government at work for us.  [Or not working for us.])  

I'm going to

and see if that can get the government to work for me, and stop these calls.

I have also assigned a silent ringtone to this number.  (I am up to 77 now.)

The card service scammers   WILL   "service" our credit cards,   BUT,   when thy finish "servicing" them, they will have NO available credit remaining!

Just got this call in CA-came up as from NY-don't know anybody in NY so I didn't answer! All reviews say Scam, so don't answer it!!

This old spoofed number is CURRENTLY being used by the drug-addicted "card services" scammers, who call us, pretending to be associated with our credit card companies, in an attempt to fool us into giving them our credit card numbers, so they can rip us off. People that have given their card numbers to these junkies have suffered severe financial losses. Beware of these lowlifes, and warn others, before they are cheated!

robo call about credit cards

Just received a robo-call about lowering my interest rate on my credit card. No name of company or credit card...so I hung up.

These calls are a detriment to our security and well being to protecting our families. If your not watching 12
comercials per segment on tv, your home mail box is flooded, then their knocking on your door, Or
spamming your inbox in your email. If 3-5 thousand canceled the phone, turned in the cable box, or
complained to the city about peddlers knocking pn the door trying to sell you something without a city
permit, someone will have to listen ,  you have to watch out for yourself, they are lurking to take from you,

I had experiance the same call. What web site I can report this scam with FTC ?

I also got one ot two calls from this phone number (718/204-6553).  It sounds like a "scam" to me.  When you call that number back it just rings and rings--no one answers and no answering machine/voicemail takes your call.

Everybody, just call back scammers (POS) like this, ten (10) times a day or on your "auto redial", and overwhelm their phone line.  IF anyone answers, then you can demand why they called you and give them a piece of your mind.

Got a call on my cellphone today while I was in traffic. I answered it because I thought it was my business partner.  I hung up immediately when they said account services. Would love to know how they got my cellphone #, I rarely give it out. I certainly never give it to any telemarketer.

Credit card interest rate scam? Gonna report it to the FTC. They've been phishing it seems...

I've been getting a lot of random calls lately from out of town area codes. Glad to know this is a scam. Did not answer or bother calling the number back.

It's "Account Services" - they use LOTS of phone numbers.  They're trying to scam you into giving out your credit card number.

Fake (spoofed) Caller ID. Autodialing you and beginning with a robocall (as these jerks do) is illegal.

So, go ahead and give these criminals your credit card numbers and balances, name, address, Social Security number, date of birth, etc. Let us know how that works out for you.

I thought the Federal Trade Commission had finally stopped these "people." Guess I was wrong.

Had a missed call from this number as well today! Tried to all back and only received a busy signal!!! Thanks to all of those who were able to pick up for letting the rest of us know it was a scam!!! Can't be to careful these days!!!

Just got a missed call from the number and busy each time I tried to call back.  Definite SCAM after reading the others

Just got called 6 mins ago. Didn't answer it, I usually don't if their not in my contacts list and never do if their not a local number, or being one of the three area codes I know people in that live around me, I usually wait for a message to be left, but they didn't leave one. Now I know this number and not to answer it. Thanks guys.

Got a call from this number a few minutes ago in Georgia. I don't know anyone in New York so I didn't answer. They didn't leave a message. I figured it was probably one of those spam calls.

the work phone rang, I answered to receive a message about lowering my interest rate on a credit card, press 1 to continue.  I pressed 1 and a male answered.  before he said much, he was advised he just called a police cell phone.  he instantly hung up.

Just got a call from this number, I'm in Oklahoma. I didn't answer it, but reading from other comments, I'm glad I didn't. I'm on the no call registry so its time to report it!

Got a call from this scammer at 1:39 PM PDT. Absolutely horrible phone connection with lots of static and breaking up, could barely understand the person. Obviously an overseas call.

"Janet" had a very thick (sounded like Nigerian) accent. I asked how she got my number and instead of answering she asked if I was responding to their credit card offer. I asked again how she got my number and she immediately hung up.

Just got a call from this number. Pressed 1 a guy came on the line said would like to lower your interest rate?   Told him I had no credit cards... He said the why did you press 1!  Then he asked if I liked being hung up on? I'm in Texas!

Whenever I receive unwanted calls like this (and I get a lot of them), I file a complaint with the FCC right away on their website:
