I received an email from Michael Brown who claims to be the service manager for Stanco Supply. His email address is stancomarinesupplies@gmail.com. In the To: section of the email, it shows "<undisclosed-recipients:;>" which set of some red flags.  He also asked me some suspicious questions so, I looked up the company name and came across this. Below is the email I was sent:

I'm Michael Brown Service Mgr to Stanco Supply. I will like to rent storage for 2 month at your Storage facility and let me know your service and cost for 10 x10' commercial Space that will be manage for me to receive my valuable items on my behave and the content of the package would be safety materials and Fluke meyer for my company usage . And i would like to know your requirement if you are permitted to operate legally , also I need to know if you can manage to keep my valuables items safe and undamaged till i get back from Trade show advise

They keep changing their email addy but not this number. Complaints go back to like '09!

Received this message.  But when I quoted the pump I gave him too high of price by accident.  He emailed me back and wanted to order it anyway. A red flag went up immediately.  I told me to give me a credit card number.  He didn't and he didn't want to talk on the phone.  He only communicated through e-mails.  I smelled b***s*** and googled his phone number and found this website.   Here is the original message below.

I too was scammed out of $400 by Lynne Mayfield who worked together with Carlotta Vasoli in a NY apartment rental scam posted on Craigslist on August 15th.

Some people just don't have any morals, no shame whatsoever. How can they live with themselves, knowing they left an entire family stranded in an unknown city without a place to stay?

I've reported them both to the authorities, hoping they'll catch them before they scam more victims.

We received a similar e-mail.  We've come a long way from an inheritance from a dead uncle in Nigeria haven't we.

All of my customers have come from referrals and cold calling so I was immediately suspicious. I did a search and fortunately found this blog (thanks to all of you) and sent an email back to this "scammer" requesting a web site an company info so that I could set up their account. He was requesting Fluke 87-V & 1587 monitors, 750 Tillman gloves, 3M respirators on a bunch of other items. Wanted them shipped UPS RED on a credit card to Buffalo NY and he name of his company is supposedly Mike Roy  Roy Equipment 359 N Wodd Dale Rd, Wood Dale, IL 60191 718-234-8097

I received the same email from allpurchsingdept2@gmail.com for NIA Safety Supply 371 W Touhy Avenue Lincolnwood, Il 60712  806-476-4425  fax 800-334-0551.

Beware of any emails solisiting product from a @gmail,com or any other general email from someone you don't know.  If you tell them you won't except any payment from them except wire transfer you won't hear from them again.

This seemed like it was time sensitive, pushing for NDA shipping from basically an unknown to an unknown. All sorts of red flags went up and after identifying everything from all you great people that have posted this scamer info, we have saved ourselves a lot of money, time, and the hollow loss that these people would have created.

An email was recived from donaldbruce609@gmail.com requeating detroit and cat parts availability and pricing with an urgency to purchase right away. this number was given as a contact number... SCAM COMPLETELY...

My company sells electronic parts, and we received an order from someone claiming to be David Hernandez of Hernandez LLC, who gave this number as a call back number. Whenever we process a credit card order, we require the customer to give the number, expiration, billing address and security code. All the info he gave matched up, and the card worked, so we processed it. But we got a charge back a few days ago along with a fraud report saying that the card holder did not recognize the charge. Though I could not make out the name of the card holder from their signature on the paper work, I do know it wasn't David Hernandez.

I received the following email, called the number and got no answer.
