I just had this number call - same scam as indicated as above. Thankfully I didn't give my social, just my password and quickly changed it.
I should have googled before I gave them any info.

i also had someone call me stating they were from US CELLULAR, he was harassing, and would call me constantly claiming i had been chosen to take an over the phone survey that would get me 100 dollars off of my phone bill! after being harrassed by this number i called US CELLULAR and they said it was a scam, it was not associated with them and that they were going to look into this number. they said next time they call to tell them i have spoken to US CELLULAR and that they have been warned.

I got a call from this number. I did not answer. I figure if it is important, they will leave a message and I will call them back. They left a 3 minute long blank voice mail. I guess they must have hung up.
I'm with US Cellular.
Something to think about - I'm not sure about other cellular companies but with US Cellular, if you call Customer Service, they ask you some questions to verify you. Those questions are your name, last 4 digits of your Social Security Number and your billing zip code.
If anyone has that information, they will be able to access your account.

Received a phone call from this number as well when I was walking in the door from work caught me off guard. I'm a US Cellular customer too. Same scam as the other folks have indicated. I thought about it some more when I got off the phone, realized it was probably a scam, and called US Cellular and changed my password. Then googled the number and found this site. The lady who called was very talented.

I had the same thing happen to me yesterday, She told me I would receive a $100 credit toward my bill, for answering a few questions. She then try to call US Cellular and put in a phone claim using my name, etc. When they accidently got disconnected, US Cellular called me back, and realized it was not the same person. I also changed my password. She also tried to call me back, (probalbly to ask my password) but I did not answer.

Got a call from them stating they were from Verizon wireless (which is my provider). They were going to credit my monthly bill $100 as customer appreciation. They asked me a few quality quesitons and then asked me to confirm my name and last 4 digits of my social. I then hung and called Verizon. They did not have any such promotion going on, and advised me to change my password (which I did). Then a few minutes later I got a call from this number again, asking me for my password, as they could not access my account. I told them I knew it was a scam, and they hung up on me.
