SBR Enery Delivery Service Scam!

Believe this is the same number we received a call from. Finally decided to give it a try, delivery Service cost savings and a 15% rebate at end of year Sounds Good!NOT, received our first bills, Delivery Charges from SBR were just under 50% higher than National Grid. When called and questioned they said that the delivery charges were as posted $0.10 Kwh. National Grid had never been more than $0.072 Kwh in any of our previous bills. Two Hours later on the phone with the public service commision & SBR, & National Grid a complaint is filed SBR account cancelled and National Grid back as service supplier with a block on the account.

DO NOT GO WITH SBR, if you want what they CLAIM on their web site "A Green Energy Supplier" that is one thing if your willing to pay higher prices for GREEN Energy, if you are not, Do not get caught up in their Pricing SCAM!

They are also calling from 1-888-391-0499

This is SBR Energy calling from a different phone number looking for account information.  They called and asked to speak to the person that pays the utility bill and kept insisting on me giving them my contact information and my National Grid account number.  He claimed that I was eligible for a 15% rebate program at the end of 12 months and assured me that my energy company would not change.  However, National Grid already provided me with a rebate the last 2 months on my utility bill.   My budget billing is now lower due to the rate decreases.  They have got ot be crazy to think I would give them my account information!

my call came from 518-737-3377 and also 4 calls from 518-393-9933.
I received FOUR calls in 2 days!!
Day 1:   Female caller asked for "the person who pays the utility bills."  I said, why are you asking?  I'm not interested.  As soon as I hung up, the phone rang again, and a male caller asked the same thing.  I said it's none of your business who pays the utility bills!
Day 2:   Female caller asks for the person who pays the utility bills.  I said I'd already received 2 calls the day before, and why are you calling?  I refused to discuss it.  I hung up the phone, immediately the phone rings again, and after the pause (I think it's automated dialing and then the telephone sales person comes on, so she may not realized it's the same number? ) I was furious, seeing it was the same number on callerID and said angrily, "WHAT"S YOUR PROBLEM!?"  She actually said very politely with restraint, "I'm going to hang up, ma'am, because I don't have a problem."    Good riddance!  I feel sorry for people who can't get any better work!  BUt they need to know their calls are NOT WANTED.
Day 3:  yeah, really!  By this time, I had decided that if I received another call, I would get as much info as possible in order to report them.   A polite person, Israel de Bruhl, did have my name, and said he got it from National Grid, so since I'm treasurer for a charity that got an upgrade through a National Grid partner, I thought it might be legit.  He said they are an alternative energy organization that supplies National Grid, showed where on the electric bill this would show up (but he mentioned both electric and gas).  So I thought, well, I'll check with National Grid.  I did, and found out that they did NOT give my info to anyone, and when I thought a little further, I realized that no bills come to my name anyway, because our residential bills go to my husband, and the electric bills for the charity go to the charity's address, and my name is not even on it!  So they were FLAT OUT LYING.   When  he called today, I told him that N.G. had not verified what he said.  When I tried a little later to call back and tell him he was lying,  whether he knew it or not, the call 'could not go through.'  So - that's the end of THAT!  Good RIDDANCE!!!

I live in Upstate NY and I personally have SBR Energy as my energy provider, I save money every month, I am in no way affiliated with SBR Energy. Just a very satisfied customer well let's put it this way I recommended my Family & Friends. This below is copied & pasted off of my e-bill from NATIONAL GREED they have a 732 Area Code which is from New Jersey. Also they did not solicit me I called them as I was referred from a family member good luck they should find these fraud scumbags that are misrepresenting a legitimate company.

I started asking questions as soon as he asked to speak to the person in charge of the NYSEG bill.

How are you?  Where city are you in?......"are you the person who handles the NYSEG bill?"
How old are you? ......"are you the person who handles the NYSEG bill?"
How tall are you? ..."are you the person who handles the NYSEG bill?"
Are you gay or straight?......"are you the person who handles the NYSEG bill?"
If you were gay, would you be a top or bottom?......"are you the person who handles the NYSEG bill?"
If I answer your question, can I $%^& you in the @#$?....he slams the phone down.

At this point he hangs up.

We've had a number of missed calls from the same number (718-337-8173).

I spoke to a woman today (Mrs. Davis - only name she provided) that said it was in regards to "NYSEG's Power to Choose program and that we had qualified for lower rates for having paid our bills on time." She claimed that the information was included in October's billing statement and that they were contacting people who chose not to enroll because many had thought it to be an advertisement.

I could enroll today all she would need is some information from my energy bill...sounded phishy since the power to choose is an optional enrollment program to get competitive energy rates from competing energy companies.

I asked at what number I could call back and she gave me 917-628-2095 and to ask for Mrs. Davis...this is linked to another post:

Got my second call in a week from this company, who starts the call with 'may i speak to whoever pays the power bill'. Does this sound like a legitimate outfit to ANYONE? I asked whom are you looking for, and they replied with the same lame statement. No business that is customer oriented is going to be that unprofessional to not 1. identify the person they are calling for, 2. dodge the question when inquired. Worse yet, its plainly obvious this is a phishing scam as the first thing they want is you to get your bill to 'make sure you are still eligible for the discounted rate'. Surely, to get account and personal information. Its admonishable that this happens as I'm sure there are individuals that are not savvy enough to see this for what it is, and get roped into a scam such as this. SBR energy, you're on notice. Call this number again, I'll tear you a new a**.

This is a fraudulent outfit.  If you call back this number you get a recording.  They are trying to get you to switch from National Grid to SBR.  Its a schiester  outfit.  If you ask them who the CEO of their company is they all claim they dont know.  The respresent themselves by stating if you agree to their
services you will be staying with National Grid as your provided.  Yes your gas will go through
National Grids pipes but you will be dealing with a company with terrible customer service  (unreachable), a company that the employees wont tell you who the CEO is and a company that misrepresents themselves.  STAY AWAY - ITS  A FRADULENT OUTFIT that disgregards the FCC
do not call list.  Thats why their calling number never ever answers. STAY AWAY.
