Called today asking for me by my last name which alson sounds like a first so I knew it was not legit. My employee put it on hold to get me and they hung up

Called the business, asked for the owner by first name, and refused to be transfered to voicemail, just said she will call back.  

Recording said, "We have processed over 3 million...." and then stopped, followed by a dial tone (hang-up).

Called asking for the person in charge of credit card collections. Have called a number of times after that, but no prompt answer on the other line. Making me mad!

I didn't answer & They didn't leave message.

Received two calls in less than an hour.  No one says anything.

What is the purpose of these silent calls? Very creepy, you can hear someone breathing on the other end,  I wish it would stop.

He wanted to speak to the person in charge of the merchants account. I asked him for his name, then his address, he asked why I need his address, I told him that I need to know who I'm speaking with. It shocked him out of his wits, and he hung up.

Called my business phone and hung up without leaving a message. Glad I was on the other line with a client and did not waste my time answering. Honestly, does this auto dial method really work? the "sporatic" part of it, is a delay for translation.  In many cases these are routed through domestic switches and originate internationally.  They actually get a translation in some instances and that causes the weird timing.  It's my instant cue to hang up.

These people call and put me on hold. No self respecting business does that... hang up.

You suppose part of the scam is so we all look up the number on the net and he gets ad clicks when we do.

Caller ID displayed this telephone number. I let my answering machine pick up the call...however, caller hung up.

I got a call from this number , the person asked to speak to Ian ( that's me) then said he must have the wrong number and hung up?

Called and requested the owner by first name only.  When asked who was calling the female voice said she was calling from the credit card processing company at which time I ended the call. Voice on other end was very sporadic when speaking almost like it was a machine replying.

I just got a call from this number...just dead air, no response when I announced myself. I so wish these people from all of these boiler room telemarketing scams could be rounded up and locked away. They cost business so much money.

I answered my phone and all I heard was a person on the phone who was not able to speak.  Just a bunch of mumbling etc.  I ended up hanging up the phone right away.
