Just got a call from (347-753-90698 caller ID)(718-593-4515 number he gave when I asked). Male with heavy east indian accent stating he was from Microsoft and that my computer was infected.  He wanted to gain access.  I messed with him- made him pretty uncomfortable.  I told him I would ask my husband to handle the call as he works in IT.  Told me he was recording he call and if my computer crashed then oh well- Microsoft would not be responsible. I said oh well- I am recording you too.  He hung up on me.

here in Austin, texas. Received a call this morning with the same story. His accent sounded like the typical help desk geek. I asked where he was from and he said microsoft tech support and calling from Brooklyn to help with virus already on my computer. I told him I was busy but would call back and he gave me that same number.  Wish there was a way to stop this.

I'm in Ohio and I just got a call from a very aggressive Indian (India) male caller who said he was from Microsoft and getting many error messages directly from my computer. Many other Indian voices in the background. I asked him what his phone number was and he gave me 718-593-4515, and said he was calling from New York. I asked him what company he was with but I couldn't understand his English. It sounded like  "PC X-Spot" - (PC X- Perts). I asked him to spell it and he got angry and told me he just needed me to get on my computer and he would help me. I told him I wasn't doing business with him and he started yelling at me "Get Lost" a couple of times and then said "F@#* You." This came up as an Unknown Caller and I should have known better.

Received call from unknown number & an eastern indian male (but sounded more  like a robot voice to sound like eastern indian)  told me that he was with windows tech dept & they were getting error messages from my computer and unwanted bugs & virus from international searches ( I  don't do international searches never have & never will) & virus was affecting the area where I live...got his name (gary) & number & said he was from brooklyn NY...told him I wasn't going to turn on my computer for him & do anything forwith him. He kept insisting I turn it on & I kept repeating I wasn't going to do anything with my computer for him.  Thanked him then hung up on him...

Got a call from an Indian guy claiming he is with Microsoft window & wanted to help me to get rid of infection on my computer which I am not aware of it. but I did not release my information to him. & asked him his phone number. he knew my name & he wanted to continue conversation with me but I hung up on him.

Received the same call over and over. couldn't understand a word they were saying, asked for someone who spoke coherent english, put a "manager" on the phone, couldn't really understand him either.  Asked him for my computer ID before I would do anything.  Said I needed to log in first.  Said give me your number, gave me the 7185934515, and then had the nerve to tell me he was calling from Brooklyn.  Looked up here and saw the posts, and told him I was calling the police if they called back again.

Just received a call - same as all the above told him I wanted to verify the truth of his statements and he gave me 718-593-4515 to call back - stated he was officially with Microsoft.  5:00 4/5/2013

The guys still at it, got phone call yesterday.  He called me on a phone number I don't give to anyone or use when I fill out forms online.  He said I see you're a genuine MS Windows user.   I asked him which computer I was having a problem with and he said 'Well, the infected computer would infect all my other computers'    He wanted me to  do the Ctr +l MS key + R to bring up a window with my MS license number.  I told him I didn't have time now and asked for Microsoft's number so I could call when I got back home. He gave me the 718-593-4515 number and said it was in NY.   I thought I would Google the number and all these responses come up.  Luckily I didn't fall for his scam.

how can you get this person, i have lost $280 DUE TO THIS SCAM.i am a single mum and it is hard to live as it is these days, so if you have any ideas of how i can get my money back this would be apprecited.

I just got a call from this Indian accent supposing Microsoft tech and went through my computer identifying errors in programs and applications and possibly the computer crashing.  Thank fully my wife halted the progress and asked for the phone number 7185934515 and name,David. Looked up the # on the net and here I am texting to you all.  It's a scam, never give out personal info or pay on demand on a cold call.

Well he's at it again ! .. Even during my last (5) days of my dispute/ claim I get a SKYPE call from
# 661-998-8714 ( California this time ) So I did the same thing & reversed it & Guess What ?. All people reporting different Scams including threatening people he would call the cops if they didn't send him $400. fee for loans that were NON Existant ! .. Unbelievable ! .. I just contacted PayPal again & updated my info' re this heavily accented India desent Caller ! .. I'll let you all know how i make out with my $140. I currently have a claim/ dispute with this man @ the above phone # . He is of indian ( India ) decent with a heavy accent . The claim was a 'Cash' transaction to Soni Devi ( sandi1179@rediffmail.com ) PayPal Account ( Non Verified in U.S. ) .. It came from New York City , under the guise of " SUPPORT @ ONLINE PC XPERTS . COM . I heard the identical 'noise as described above in other complaints . He originally got me for $280 . ( also as described above ) . I rejected this & his 'contract the same day ( The payment he manipulated remotely & he went directly to my PayPal login ) .  Via email i negotiated this amount down to 50% off or $140 now left . I realized by now i was 'Cold Called' & totally scammed . I'm awaiting his response to my PayPal claim now ( 10 / 7 / 2012 ) . Maybe we can stop this con artist together & thank the Lord for this reverse # call site ! .. THANKYOU ALL , Charlie

Much like the other comments I just read I received a call from a man with a strong middle eastern accent claiming to be from Microsoft and I could here many other people in the background. It sounded like a typical telemarketer office. I followed some of his prompts but promptly let him know I would not give him personal information. He said he would not collect such information and proceeded to direct me as to what to type into my computer. He said if I allowed him access I could watch as he cleaned my computer. I refused to give him access and told him if he was truly from Microsoft and was already monitoring my computer then he should already have access. When I told him I would need to verify him prior to giving him any such access he gave me this number. Like all of you I googled it and ended up here.

Received a call from man with Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft Corporation.  I could hear alot of commotion in the background with other phone conversations being overheard.  He indicated their customer service dept was receving electronic notifications indicating over 287 potentially harmful junk files on my computer and if I allowed him remote access he could assist me with cleaning up my computer.  I told him I was not giving him any person information or access without verification of who he was and requested a telephone number to verify who he was.  He gave me a telephone number and his name (Steven) and gave me his license number (which amazingly matched my telephone number).  I did not feel comfortable with the telephone number he gave me as I know that all large business customer service departments have 800 telephone numbers.  I called the police department and while on the phone with them, the guy called me back.  I was instructed by the officer to tell them I had reported them and that I was aware it was a scam and requested they do not call me back. I got no response...just a hang up.

Same call as other posts here.  Male with heavy Indian accent.  Claimed to be from Microsoft and requested remote access to the PC.  Could not understand the caller because of the accent.  Seemed official and competent.  Might have followed his instructions if I could have understood him.  Thank Goodness I didn't!  

I am now looking for a way to report this in an official manner.

I got a call from the same number claiming to be from Microsoft and they could fix problms with my computer. I just happened to have problems with my computer at that time. hey conned me out of over $400 for what was to be Life Time Support.

This number is associated to 999-910-0312. It shows as a New York City #. Male with Indian accent claiming to be with Microsoft. Says he can fix the recent problems you are having with your computer if you will give him remote access.
Good way to keep them from calling back: leave the phone connection open for about ten minutes preferably with the handset beside the TV with a news station on.
