you should go to matrixforme.com and do a study before calling the cops! Your health plan hired Matrix to work with them to complete Home Health Assessments once per year as part of the benefits you already receive with your plan. You may learn more by doing research

The other nurses that call only give you a website or phone # and take forever as well. If you want to help don't send patients around the mountain , know the answer and save time.

I think, as stated, they are associated  ( dont know why ) with our health insurance - and I am NOT interested!!!!     we had also gotten a letter from my husband's insurance stating someone would be calling - as others stated.  This most likely is them but then again it could be a scammer who knows that ins companies do this and running a scam.

THEY DID NOT LEAVE A MSG - bad business practice IF a legitimate business

And I consider this more insurance propaganda and do not trust them or anyone anymore  -  in regarding to them protecting and doing what is best for me in the  health environment, insurance providers,  or gov;  I do not need or want them telling me what to do !!  I want the free will -- and resources to be able to get the healthcare I need  for whatever my situation --  without someone  " deciding for me "    --  like our current issues withy ObamaCare and death panels -- cause they are what they are!    And many drs are very concerned they cant do for their patients what they need since ObamaCare became a reality!!

So -- if no one is answering or wants to participate with something that might really be associated with a Real Health Ins Co who has an association with  your own ins co  -- that is why!!!   WE ARE ALL SUSPICIOUS OF ALL  SINCE OUR CONGRESS, GOV, SUPREME COURT bANDED TOGETHER TO CREATE A LAW/ TAX THAT TOOK AWAY FREE CHOICE --  SOMETHING AMERICA WAS FOUNDED ON !!

I cannot believe that this has come to pass in a Country that is promoting Democracy around the world !!
Our gov is selling us out for political aspirations/ interest groups/ big business at all levels/ sad -- very sad

This is a legitimate business and number.  I received a call from them representing my insurance provider.  I contacted my provider (Humana) and they said it is legitimate.  The home wellness visit is free to the patient, paid for by the insurance provider and Medicare for those 65 & older.  The information is forwarded to my primary care physician who may determine an immediate appointment is necessary.  Their website is www.matrixforme.com.  So many alarmists on this site - do some research before bad mouthing phone numbers.

Seriously? Why would anyone be willing to give up their goods in order for the medical corporations to set limits on your HealthCare.  They can report what "THEY" see fit for your needs, not what you see fit or expect. You're Health is YOUR BUSINESS, keep it your own.  I'm just saying with all the shite going on today with Healthcare Rates etc. . . Don't give your control to ANYONE else.  Just my opinion.  We've already lost many of our Birthright laws and rights only WE THE PEOPLE can stop this NSA mindset.  In have an Insurance Company that wants in, not going to happen.  For what I pay a month, I have control.

Until CMS mandates that we speak with Medicare/gap/advantage Plan providers, I see no reason to communicate with them. I switched providers for 2014 and will block their calls after I've received the very first one. AARP UHC had this half dead robot voice calling our home regularly ... a truly creepy computerized voice trying to elicit information about my health. Almost hilarious, if not so utterly annoying and intrusive.

I must disagree somewhat with "anonymous. There is a pilot campaign several health insurance providers have bought into regarding nurse practitioners and/or doctors coming to your home and it's a part of the Affordable Healthcare Act. It is primarily for comorbid patients and is supposedly to cut down on trips to ER and such.

There are several problems with this concept. One being that it provides to the government with the geographical location of the frail and afflicted elderly. Another is that after the initial house call, they follow up with regular house calls, telephone monitoring and "assess the member's health, look into the pantry and refrigerator to check on diets....." SERIOUSLY?? I'm not making this up. This is not for your benefit. Check it out by doing a search for "Eyes On Medicare Program's House Calls For Comorbid Patients". This info is all there. This is just more of Obama's putting his nose where it doesn't belong.

I agree with you -- I have received many letters followed by phone calls and have responded each and every time to advise them that my doctors are very communicative and communicate with each other.  I am in very good hands and if Blue Cross doesn't have a handle on my health issues then they are a bunch of idiots, after all, they have to approve every single damned thing before I can go forward, they know exactly who I see and when I see them and what it's for.  This "free service" is being paid for in some way and we all know for certain that it's buried in our premiums.  No way does anyone need any more info about me than they already have.  Also, if the way they handle my "DO NOT CALL HERE AGAIN" request is the way they would handle my confidential medical info that I guess they cannot get from my doctors (bless their hearts)  I wouldn't trust them any more than I do Obama or the IRS!!!

Fed up,  I agree with you 100 percent on all that you have said concerning the insurance companies and this new thing of having a so called health care group monitor your existance.  Insurance companies are indeed pofit organizations.
However,  I think that the point that the previous poster was making is that the 3rd party contracted health monitoring organization falls under the category of informational when they call. This does make them legit under the Do Not Call Registry. I don't know what problems it would cause with your insurance company but you do have the right to tell them to cease calling you.
I have the same situation. My insurance provider says that there is no option under their program if I want to be on their plans. Like everything else in America,  our options are slowly being taken away while we sleep.

I figured it out. They badgered me and I finally let them set up an appointment which I am oing to cancel.
They can file a claim with Medicare and get paid for the visit and they want the money. When we say no, they get no money so they push harder.

I received a recorded call on my telephone voice mail on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013. It invited me to accept a new service provided by my UPMC health plan. I called the designated number (855-403-0967) where a plan for a local Pittsburgh nurse practitioner to visit my home once a year was explained to me by a friendly gentleman. He was located in their office in Clearwater FL.There was no cost to me; my health insurance covered the one hour visit. UPMC was excited about this new service in my health plan and really wanted me to participate.

I called my doctor's office, spoke to her office nurse, who hadn't heard of this plan but had heard of the Matrix company. The nurse called the UPMC insurance plan and they were not aware of this newly covered service. The nurse called me back with her news, and I called the Matrix company.

A woman answered with the Matrix Company name, told me the man I had previously spoken to was on another line. She began to explain the nurse practitioner program again. I told her of the call to my doctor's office. She assured me that UPMC had arranged the service with them and gave me the UPMC number (888-876-2756). I looked the number up on the internet white pages--it couldn't identify the number.

I will assume this is a legitimate organization offering to set up an appointment for a nurse practioner to do a home visit to assess any health problems or needs.  It should be our choice whether to participate but they do not take no for an answer.  Due to an ongoing medical condition my husband sees his doctors several times a year.  This was politely explained but they continue to call.  "No thank you" means "stop calling" !!!!!!!

No, I don't work for them. I can tell you that I experienced the call with a family member, and I also seen the assesssment done. From the beginning to the end, this was a wonderful experience. I highly encourage all who are eligible to participate. I would if I was on Medicare, not old enough yet. This team from Matrix was excellent, and the NP was extremely knowledgeable and professional as well. I think when you answer the phone being rude, upset or telling someone how much you hate your provider, doctors, etc, then you are setting it in your mind already you don't want to participate. This is not a hoax, no cost to you out of pocket. The NP's carry identification that say Matrix Medical Network on them, along with their Medical Bags with the same name. I think people should lighten up a little, your insurance company did send out letters to advise you of this once a year assessement offered to you at no cost.

When someone is told to quit calling then they should quit calling.  I have taken care of myself with my doctor's help just fine for more than 65 years.  The insurance company can butt out and let my doctor do her job.  I don't want their help.  And the insurance companies ARE NOT NONPROFIT ORGANATIONS!  I pay them big bucks every month.  Sounds as though you work for them. . . .

Which sounds like good way for telemarketers to get around the DNC legislation. They can cold call anyone you may have an account with and they can call anyone, anytime. It's still a sales call. Personally, I even find it annoying when my 'providers' suggest using my 'benefits' before the end of the year, when they might expire without being used.

I recently received a call from them and called back. They are Matrix Medical Network that performs assessments (assumingly medical) for insurance companies.
This may be a HIPAA issue and I wouldn't give them any information.

I was sent a letter then a call from (855) 403-0967. The woman said she was a Nurse Practitioner and was being sent out by the Health Alliance Program, (HAP). She made an appointment to come out on 12/6/2012. She stated her name was Julie. After watching Chanel 2, Hall of Shame, I will not allow this person to enter my home. I have alerted the police.
