l went to a job interview over there and it's like they're no stores or anything in sight. l had my interview and they hired me to come for training. l was really happy and excited and they l realized why did they hire me so fast??? and how could it in this area.

so l went to my computer look up the company and l see BBB doesn't have them then l go to the websites they do charity for it looks legit to me but it still don't know about this company l don't want to get arrested or hurt by anyone and l don't want people stealing my identify what makes it even more weird l see them posted the same ad on craigslist every day saying they have lots of positions what's going on here are they keeping the people who work there are the firing them or are these people not staying at the job or are they scare to stay.

I GOT A CALL FROM THIS GUY NAMED RUDY???? RUDY SAID HE WAS CALLING FROM THE PENNSYLVANIA POLICE DEFENSE FOUNDATION.  WHEN I ASKED WHAT HE WANTED, HE TOLD ME TO GO S*** A D***

Receive a call from this number about 2 or 3 times a month. When we answer, no one is on the other end. After Googling the number it showas as coming from ANDE Inc 6914 New Utrecht Avenue, Brooklyn, NY. It's becoming very annoying.

These calls come twice a day, every day just like a couple others have experienced.  They ask for my by name. I have even tried blowing a whistle when they call.  The calls did stop for a few weeks but they have started up again.  We are also registered on the do not call list.    Rochester, ny

I get calls from this same number but fundraising for different organizations.  These include "Association for Police Officers" and several others.  Many of these have the same address in Pittsburgh, but they claim to be legit 501c(3) not-for-profit charitable organizations.  I think that's how they get by the DNC lists - charitable organizations (at least some of them) are exempt from the restrictions.

This number has been calling us up to 3x each day for the past couple of months.  We finally decided to answer the call (6:00 PM), and asked to be removed from the list.  They called the following afternoon (12:00), and I told them that they phoned yesterday and that they were supposed to remove us from the list.  This morning (9:30 AM), got another call but they hung up before we could give them a piece of our minds.  Obviously, asking to be removed from the list doesn't work.

i suggest you just be quiet and donate, in the end it doesnt even matter, because we've come to far, to lose it all, and when it comes to the cops you need some manly trust, and just because i got a ski mask on dont mean im out playing for the Stanley Cup

so next time they call, just ill do the gold =)

They called me again today and hung up - said nothing...

2 or more persons talking to each other in background, but no one spoke to me even though someone who was talking called me.

This call was followed 3 minutes later by Verizon 845-577-5696 who also did not speak to me.

The Do-Not-Call registry does not prevent all unwanted calls. It does not cover the following:

Because they claim to be calling under the guise of charity they can crawl under the do not call law :(   these people are pains in the ...neck....I have recently gotten caller ID and get calls from them constantly...I wonder how many times in the past I have spoken to them and maybe even contributed..when i didn't know all my solicitation calls were coming from the same sleazy phone station... Best advice is to see if you can get the number blocked

Just called.  Breathing, then silence for about 30 seconds and then disconnected.  Violators of DO NOT CALL have exploded in the last several years.  Perhaps some enforcement of real laws that protect people in their homes, rather than spying on them or using them, will occur in the future.  I can HOPE.

I got a call from these guys.  They gave the number 718-256-8883 but it's from these same guys.  It was a poorly recorded message about jobs being available.  So I checked out the number and it belongs to 6914 New Utrecht Ave in Brooklyn, NY.

I just happen to live nearby so I thought I'd check it out...

It's in sort of an industrial area.  There's a business there called Amorosi Lanscaping and it does appear to be a legitimate business.  But next to that was a door with a sign that says "Neighborhood Outreach".  Inside and up the stairs I went.  There were a few small offices above the landscapers.  I asked a woman there what this place is and she said "It's an office".

Apparently this is a secret den where these lousy SOB's operate their various scams.  Just Google the address and you'll find several names under which they operate.  One in particular is very disturbing; They claim to be a charity for various police and firefighter organizations under this title:

I have been receiving calls sometimes twice a day from this number with no one on the other side.  Each time I called back I got a recorded message - I think they recorded it on an answer machine - that "the number is not in service". Today I just picked and said nothing - eventually a gentleman got on and said something about a Police related request for donations.  When I complained about how often their machine calls and no one on the other said he got sensitive so I told him to please never call again.  I doubt it will work but if they call I will call my phone company to block them.

Much as I have sympathy for the Police and have in the past always donated, the way they are doing this on this line is being a pest.  Maybe its not them, in which case it can only be a scam.

Same deal here. They call almost daily. I have been ignoring them when I see their number on my called Id, but I'd prefer they stop calling. This is annoying.

Same deal.  They asked for me by name, and when I asked them to repeat who they were calling for and who they were, they hung up.  I tried calling the number and got the "out of service message."

These fools are calling me twice a day EVERYDAY! even on Sunday!  I thought the DND list was created for a reason?!   I did just change my phone service from frontier to timewarner  Angry in Rochester, ny.

I saw this number on my caller ID a few times and finally picked up tonight when they called at 9:00pm.  A man started calling me by my last name and saying they were calling to get donations for the police.  I remember getting a similar call earlier in the year as well.  I was so aggravated cause my kids just got to sleep - I told him its late and dont call here again.  This is horrible to have to get these calls.  How can I stop getting these calls?

I get this call every day & when I pick up the hang up & when I call back the # said the # I have reach is not in service

these calls are illegal,who do we report them to?..i had a block put on,these people need to be charged with harrassment..no one answers when you eventually pick up..

This number called my home and they actually asked for me but my 13 year old told them I wasn't home.  Now I'm curios since you all got nothing when you picked up

Got a call from this number 718.621.1400. The woman ask if I was was Mr. Mcquire (I've heard this before), and if I still lived in Floral Park. She said she was from the National Breast Cancer Foundation(?),and was reading from a script. She was asking for donations.

i got a call this morning and called it back...said it was not in service!!!!!

Same story different day.  I left a message that I was reporting them to the NYS Atty General.

This number calls us several times a day and will never identify who they are.  Any ideas what to do to stop them from calling?

These telemarketing people keep calling 2-4 times a day asking for my spouse, thanking us for some (false) contribution we made a year ago, or "in the past", and want money- a donation.  Have told them repeatedly to take us off their list(s), that we have not donated and do not want to donate.  These callers say they are representing and calling for: Police Retirement Fund, Police/Firemen Benevolent Fund/Society, American Legion, etcetera, - of New York, New York City and Albany/Schenectady areas.
If I answer, or my daughter (female voice), they will frequently hang-up now, because I have confronted them, but if my son or husband answer they start in soliciting for money. These people are tenacious, devious and rude.

This joker has called my cell phone a few times since mid-june '08.  Today, he called my home phone.  My son took the call, and then when the caller asked for me _by name_ the phone was passed to me.  When I said, "Hello", the caller immediately hung up without saying a word. My son had trouble understanding exactly what the caller was saying, but remembers he asked for me by my first name.  Not sure if the guy used my last name too.  

I am greatly angered.

Home phone has been on the Natl Do Not Call Registry for 5 yrs; cell on that registry only abt 3 wks.

Same as the rest of you - this number called my house late at night, I answered, and no one responded. I searched whitepages.com, and Ande Inc popped up in Brooklyn, NY. I am also on the "do not call" list, so I'm not sure what can be done here...
