Con artist trying to scam people about their energy bills.  After four phone calls, I told them to remove my number from their calling list.  The perp said "I don't think so you mother f---er" and then threatened to physically harm my children.  Do they only hire ex-cons and pedophiles with garbage mouths? Apparently so.

Just rec'd call.  She knew we were National Grid.  She asked to speak with the person responsible for the bill.  I played unresponsive, then started throwing questions at her.  She just said that her company "XYZ" (I can't remember the name) was doing a deal with National Grid to lower our monthly rate.  She just needed me to grab my latest bill and let her verify the info.  I then told her "No thanks, we're not interested," and she abruptly hung up.

Because most people will not retain a lawyer to sue these criminals and most of the criminals don't have the money to pay any judgments that may be won. We need to figure out a way to get even with these weasels, as neither federal or state governments are going to do anything about them. Any ideas as to how to do this?

The question, after reading all the notes above, is why can't the DNCR initiate some type of effective action against these people!  Does anyone know?  Rec'd a call today, Christmas Eve.  Same deal as above: can I speak to the person responsible for the Con Ed bill?  I knew that if this were a legit Con Ed call, that they would first ID themselves as such before continuting.  I told them:  'I'm sticking with Con Ed, have a nice day', and could hear some very loud response coming from the receiver.  I've already talked to Verizon about this, there's nothing they can do.  These animals know exactly where to draw the line.  I was told that a real threat, some crime, has to be commited before Verizon has the authority to initiate an 'investigation'.
I read about someone who was on the DNCR, requested that a telemarketer stop calling him, and after 3 violations, took them to court and won thousands.  Why is there no fear of such judgements?

I get calls from this number very frequent. When I answered I told the lady politely I was not interested and she replies back with a ghetto attitute why not. I then advised her I would be reporting her to local authorities and she came back and told me expect another call from me. I have already reported them on the do not call list. Not sure what else to do.

Woman wanted to know my name speak to the person responsible for the electric bills.  When I refused she said she wanted to speak to my husband (she knew his name).  Told her we were not interested and she said "Who the hell do you think you are.  I asked to speak to my husband.  She was really rude and obnoxious.  Sure wish there was some way to stop these telemarketing calls.  The DNC does not work.

They keep calling for my mom (she lives with me and my husband) they would not even tell me who they were! It pissed me off so much. they call every day.they don't even call her respectfully by her last name. They act like they are on first name basis. They were so rude, i said, you are not gonna tell me who you are? You are not talking to her". I'm thinking of telling them she's moved or dead or something. I feel like beating them up or worse. They were so mean, i have never been so insulted by annoying telemarketers before. How do i get them back?

Wow is this a bad scam! The guy said his name was Ann, and we needed to talk to the person in charge of our [electric company] account....would that be you maam or do I need to speak to your husband ? I about died laughing and already blocked the number and reported it to the dnc list. Too bad the dnc isn't more effective.

Over the last 4-4 months I'm getting these annoying call about my Con Edison bill. I ask them several time to remove me from their calling list without success. What can I do to stop them. several phone numbers inclding 1 7186741467.

Recieved a call today from 718-647-1467, did not leave a message never does.  I called back got an answering machine that told me that this is customer service leave your name and number and someone will call you back.  I don't want to be called back this is one of the numbers that has been calling me for months about lowering my energy cost.  I told them to take me off the list, they hang up and still getting calls.

Keep getting the same call to lower my electric bill.  I have told them many times to remove me from the list and they just hang up.  So now I hang up on them once they say do you want to lower.....

Received several calls fro 718 674-1467 lately.  No messages left on on voicemail.  I called back, (my phone # displays"unknown") and I get a  a loud "clink" and a hang up.  No one answers and no one there.

I hate these "stealth", money grubbing, aggravating calls.  Why don't they just leave a message, as I request them to do?  Something like " I'm a rude obnoxious person that wants to invade youyr privacy, interupt what you are doing, so I can do my best to steal your identity or jack you up for cash"?  The only thing that prevents this from being a criminal felony, (Class D), is that I can't determine wheather they have a gun pointed at the phone when they call.  Get rid of these A.H.'s!!

they were calling about lowering my electric/gas bill saying that they were part of con edison/national grid but they were a 3rd party part of the company, which obviously they are not part of the companies considering they are two separate businesses, and when I asked them to remove me from the list the guy Jonathon kept saying I don't think so I don't Think so

Today, 10/15/12, at 12:17 p.m., I received a call from: Unknown Name, # 1-718-674-1467, two rings, no message left.  
I called back this number, thinking it was someone familiar to me, in which, I heard a loud beep, no direct busy signal or ringing heard.  
As I have written about the many harassing calls I have received from 1-202-234-3930, PDR2, including Sunday, 10/14/12, at 3:55p.m., I have received just about everyday calls from this number, all different times and some days twice per day!  
It truly doesn't matter what I do to protect from receiving harassing and annoying unwanted telephone calls, whether repeated registration on the "DO NOT CALL" list, or *77, to block "Unknown Callers," from contacting me, it's to no avail.  
Your expedient response and attention in this matter will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!
