They called and asked to confirm my identity and if they had called my number. I then asked who was calling and they hung up. I am concerned about identity theft too.

I had a message on my answering machine from this number, but the message contained no voice.

I was called many times when I was not at home.  But tonight they finally got through askedfor me by name. When I said yes how may I help you they said thank you and hung up. I am now concerned what this is. Is it identity theft?
