got call from this # who are they?

recieved at least 2 calls from this number- directorycentral.com  says it belongs to A Locksmith /24 Hour @ 310 E14 Floral Park NY- yet you say you are solicited for NYC-PBA by this person - sounds like a scammer to me! be smart - screen your calls -if you do not know the number , don't answer -be a wary consumer!

Per my caller iD got a call from this number @9:04am (EST), didn't leave a messg, and I didn't call back.

Male person would call and scream "Hello, you there?" on the answering machine. Person called several times before in the last 2 months and left that same message or hung up.

I just received a call from the above noted number regarding a solictation for NYC-PBA.
How are they obtaining the phone numbers that are registered under dont Call.

I have been receiving phone calls from this phone number every day.  When my answering machine picks up the call, the person won't leave a message.  On 2/9/12, after I received a phone call on my answering machine, I called back the number.  The person said they were Steve from the New York PBAr.  He wanted me to give $45, $25, or anything I could afford.  I told him I couldn't afford anything.  Then he said to me I will put you down for $12.  I SAID I COULDN'T AFFORD ANYTHING.  I THINK HE GOT THE MESSAGE BUT THIS CALL IS DEFINITELY A SCAM BECAUSE THE POLICE DEPARTMENTS DO NOT CALL FOR DONATIONS.

I have been getting phone calls from 718-705-7946 when my answering machine got the call they would just hang up.  They have been calling me every day and all hours of the day.  On 2/9/12, I called back the phone number, he told me his name was Steve from the PBA wanted me to give $45, $25, or any amount I could afford.  I told him that we couldn't afford anything.  He then said he would sign me up for $12.  I TOLD HIM THAT WE CAN'T AFFORD TO MAKE ANY DONATION.  HE FINALLY GOT THE MESSAGE, SAID THANK YOU AND HAVE A NICE DAY.  JUST BY THE WAY THIS PERSON WAS SPEAKING THIS IS DEFINITELY A SCAM.  ALSO, THE POLICE DEPARTMENT DOES NOT CALL AND ASK FOR DONATIONS.  HOPEFULLY THIS PERSON WILL GET THE MESSAGE AND STOP CALLING EVERYONE.

Rec'd a hangup call this morning. No message left. I did a *69 and the gentleman identified himself as representing NYS PBA. I directed him to remove me from the calling list.

I have been getting hangups from this number.  He always gets my machine.

Missed a call from 7187057946 at 915am 1/31/12.
I called the number and got a person representing a pba. I simply told him
I am unemployed and have no money. Simple.

THIS GUY CLAIMS TO REPRESENT THE NEW  YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT AND ASKS FOR CASH DONATIONS FOR THE -PBA-RAN A TRACE TO A UNLISTED NUMBER IN BAYSIDE QUEENS NY,REPORTED TO MY PHONE COMPANY WHICH FOWARDS THE COMPLAINT TO THE NYPD-CLAIMS A  PBA CARD WILL BE SENT TO YOUR HOME AND YOU NEVER GET A TICKET WITH IT IN THE WINDOW-YEAH RIGHT !
