Jewish Referral service will not refund my money even though I cancelled in a timely manner, they will rip you off!!!

I have a similar story to everyone else. I advertised in the Jewish Yellow Pages a few years ago.  Never rec'd even one inquiry. Waste of money.  I told them I did not want to renew. They have called at least two dozen times. Each time I tell them no. They harass me demanding to know why not.  I have ignored their phone calls. I memorized their number so when it pops up on caller id I ignore it. NOW THEY ARE CALLING WITH A NEW NUMBER. 917-362-3727. These are despicable telemarketers who ignore the law.    

Got a call from them. They asked if I wanted to advertise. I said no and they politely hung up.

Got a call from them, but I see nothing wrong with what their doing. It's called a JOB. If you don't want to take the call, don't answer. This is the 21st century, we all have caller ID. I think most of you on this list like to be called, it makes you feel important! Most you have businesses and in some way or the other have to solicit to attract consumers to your business, whether it be flyers, direct marketing, phone calls, etc. We all are out there to make a living.

Keep up the good work! I got a call from this phone to advertise. First time I told them I was not interested at the moment and to try back in a month. They did call back and I scheduled a meeting. I bought an ad and so far this has been a very good investment.

I've complained to the BBB about them twice and it has done nothing.  They must be stopped.  Is a lawsuit an option?

If they are keep calling you it means you owe them money. This is America, everybody chase for capital.

Complete SCAM Artists whatever your business is they promise to get you clients.  They charge $875 and then you get nothing!  Not even iquiries by phone or clicks to your website.  And their helpful staff hang up on you as soon as you tell them you received nothing for your money. These people will NOT STOP HARASSING ME! I went to their offices in 2009 for one of the hardest sales pitches I've ever seen, thought briefly about signing up for their services but declined. They have been calling me regularly now for three years, no joke. I have asked them kindly and politely to stop; I have tried being mean and rude; I have told them I am going to contact my attorney or report them to the BBB; nothing works, it only incites them to call me even more. This one woman in particular, I recognize her accent, every time I tell her I'm not interested and then I hear from her the next week or sometimes even the next day, pretending not to remember our previous conversation. They have upped the ante recently, they've been calling me twice a day sometimes. These people are truly the scum of the earth.

I didn't even know what kind of services they offer, until I read these posts. They call me more than once a day. The first time I picked up thinking that could be a new client. This woman with a heavy accent start  speaking to me a bunch of non sense, I told her I couldn't understand what she was saying, she repeated herself over and over I just understood something like Website, so I told her, and she got all nasty telling me that If I couldn't understand o word she was saying how come I understood that word. I didn't want to be nasty, so I told her to send me all the info and gave her my E-mail. She agreed, and right after I hung up she called again., and kept calling, sometimes several times a day, of course I didn't pick up until today, I spoke to the same woman, I couldn't understand a word she said over the phone, so I keep asking her what are you saying?? I can not understand a word you are saying? What are you into? Marketing you said. She got so annoyed that she said "I guess you are not interested in our business then", and she hung up. I hope she did for ever.

Yeah - sounded like a decent idea at the time, but haven't gotten ONE lead from them yet - too expensive for what they provide.

This company is the Jewish Referral Service, also known as "JRS", or the "Jewish Community Center". It is a complete scam, do not trust anything that comes out of their mouths, they are out to take your money and completely deprive you of the advertising services they claim to offer. Not worth anyone's time. Boss's name is Avi Shefi, also goes by "Henry". Do not fall for their lies!!

These people lie like rugs. They should be erased from the web. Scammers and liars.

I have asked them nicely several times to stop harassing us. We gave it a try as an advertiser but we got nothing except their harassing phone calls to give them more money. I'm getting my lawyer ready to write them a letter of cease and desist.

Crooks.....stay away from these people.  They have been calling for 3 years this business.  My boss lost thousands of dollars in advertising that never got us any business out of that name in their yellow pages.  
They sell you and advertisement and then send you a copy of the book.  (Never to thousands as they sell your your getting.  Only 1 book to the advertising individual.
Once they get your number etc never stop and my Boss thought it was the AT&T Yellow pages.....it wasn't.  They have scammed millions from people why don't the IRS go after them.  They are smart.  Look up the phone number and see all the complaints hard working business people who have lost their money.

This company has been harassing us several times a day and verbally abusing our staff, even going so far as to YELL at us!  We are a HVAC company and their rep named Sally called 3 times in one day to advertise for plumbing... our office told her that we do not do Plumbing and she actually YELLED at our staff  saying we DID do plumbing and asked how long she worked here and that she needed to learn about where she worked because they do plumbing and she was stupid!  Can you believe this?!  I personally have been the manager here for 15 years and we are not plumbers and are not plumbers and have never been.  I am shocked that this type of behavior is allowed number one and how on earth are they successful with getting clients being SO rude????
