I looked up the name on my caller ID and couldn't figure out who the caller was or what they wanted. They didn't leave a voice mail. I tend to check any numbers that I don't recognize on Google.

I was looking for college information and got several calls today like this from like four different numbers with the same area code and first three numbers(989). The thing is though the 718 area code is from New York and the only college site I put my number in was Full Sail University in Florida. They called me with an 800 number and left a message. I told them to take me off their calling list but how do I stop this 718 caller?

I filled out a job application online today and the calls are already starting within about 10 mins after I hit submit to the job. I am on the no calls list so this is not making me very happy.

I am on the NO CALL list. I don't know how this person got my number, but they call daily. If I return the call, they hang up. How do I get them to stop?

The place is called college bound. If you filled out a job app online they get your number some how. Besides the # 718-989-9360 they also use 646-862-2742 and 646-216-2330. Be careful what you are filling out when doing job apps online.

Calls but leaves no messages.

I submitted my phone number to a college as well. I also have collections issues right now (first time any credit problems at all) mostly from an extremely aggressive Advanta credit card.

This flippin number calls me SIX times a day!! It's ridiculuos. I keep ignoring it, but they keep calling. I didn't start getting these calls until I made the mistake of putting my number into a website looking at colleges. Now I'm getting HOUNDED by this stupid number. Word of warning, if you're looking for colleges, don't put in your number. Any website that FORCES you to submit a number before they allow you to look at the information isn't worth the hassle.

flip the switch on these people. Tell them to remove your number immediately from call list. Tell them you can no longer accept calls on this number. You can also call phone company and have caller blocked. In some states if you 'opt' out of solicted calls you can collect $1000 per incident once you have requested removal.

I program my phone DNA (DO NOT ANSWER) so when it calls again, I know not to answer it.

asked for someone with a similar last name and when I said who are you asking for twice, they said oh i dialed the wrong number. This happens frequently. Dont put your number online!!! Make a fake one! I have learned my lesson!!

I believe this has something to do with researching college admissions info online because I too have gotten calls from this # repeatedly after inserting my cell # in an online info request form. Lisa

I'm on the west coast and get calls 3-4 times a day, beginning well before 8 a.m. I've not answered the call and they leave no message, but continue to call, day after day after day...

Same thing happened to me :-/ www.40freecollegeinfo.com, sound familiar to anyone?

This number calls my phone SIX times a flippin day!! This has been going on for THREE WEEKS. It started when I went to a website to research college information and had to enter my phone number just to get it. Be warned!! Any website that FORCES you to enter a phone number in order to look at their information isn't worth the hassle of this.
