I've got tons of these from the ads I use.

It is plain to see this is a scam Phone numbers only have 4 numers in the last 4 digits of the number.

They want the same Name, Address Email phone # to mail certified check in advance of them picking up item.

I tell them I use paypal to collect or bring cash when they come to get it.

I have tons of these on the list... I send them a note saying to remit.

I get an automatic response...

I notice I now get more emails from companies I've never contracted... spam at its best.

I got the same attempt at being scammed, right down to the name, address, and extra digit on the phone number.

I want to make this twonk eat his own spleen.

I listed an exercise crosstrainer on CL, and both replies thus far have been from scammers.  This joker even went as far as to say he was a "God-fearing person" and requiring ME to be honest in the transaction.

Same identification and phone # info as above. Agrees to purchase item in Craigslist ad, requ. Followup emails use yet another  name: Edward Braga.  Email requests name, address, email, phone #, to mail certified check in advance of picking up item..  Will not wire money.

I received a response from Craiglist from the same number and contact information. They add an extra digit to the phone number so you don't know which number it is - scammers!1

this phone # 719-282-5979 and 719-282-5975 and/or listed on craigslist replies to ads put 719-282-59795 as a return # also. Here is how they replied to several of my material post/ads on Craigslist all identical:

suspicious in every way because it looks like a reply to someone else that you got by mistake tricking you into sending an email because phone# won't get you anywhere. Then they will bombard you at very least with something more likely you don't want....
be very scared of these people.
