Answering machine message states that this is the final message to lower interest rate, press 1 to speak with a live operator, press 3 to be removed from call list.  Dialed number, rings once, and then goes to a fast busy.  Research on number on other sites brings up Teliax Inc (VOIP), which is what caller ID showed.  No company identification on answering machine message.

They are called Nationl Credit Works, Inc. Debt collectors of purchased accounts. Be careful about sending them any money, he does not have any docs to back up his claims, nor is he licensed or bonded anywhere.

I answered a call from this number, and the message said it was the Jacoby Law firm with an important message, for me to call back at some toll free number, i.e. 1-877-xxx-xxxx

I tried to return call to this original number, and it said "Your call cannot be completed as dialed".

Is this stupid or what?

did it leave a voicemail? That number just called me.

I got a call today and the Caller id listed Teliax, a (VOIP) network http://www.teliax.com/ so it could have been a residential or business line I suppose.
I called it back and I got the ole' network message "Your call cannot be completed as dialed"
