It's a debt collector. I've gotten a few calls from this number and the same thing happens. I just called back and was placed on hold by the automated system. I finally spoke with someone who stated that it is the automated system that makes the call where nobody says anything. It's supposed to play a recording with a message for the intended recipient, but sometimes doesn't work. So, it's just dead air and then disconnected.  The person in my case doesn't own this number. So, I asked them to remove the number for that person.

They call me every week and never says anything, never leaves any messages. I just don't understand! What's the point???
