Eric Quintana calls us twice today from 719-540-2200, first asking for an owner who retired over 2 years ago. Our new guy recognized that this was probably a scam and transferred the call to me instead of to the owner. Eric was a bully and got really rude when I told him we were not interested and asked him not to call again. I ended the call mid-rant, and he called again just to be nasty and threaten that he would find out who the owner was and contact him directly. Not likely to happen, but it was pretty funny how upset he got.

Today 6/04/14 makes 3 calls.  Now it's a Don Dorrad 719-540-2200 - Just needs to ask the owner a quick question!  Reverse look up shows coming from Colorado USA.  Starting to find it harassing!

You make all the "importnat desions" for your business and your manager "dosent" have the authority. LOL! Me thinks u r the one making the harassing calls!!

How many phone numbers do these scammers own? I've been blocking various numbers that these useless drummers have been using for years and today I have blocked this one! Luckily, I have instructed my staff to transfer all out of state calls to my voice mail so they cannot waste my employees time, and my money. The troll on this forum that states that these crooks are legit just because they have been in business for 30 years and have a great rep with the equally crooked BBB needs to get a clue. The Cosa Nostra (Sicilian Mafia) has been in business since the mid 1800's and their businesses can buy their BBB rating just like any other business willing to pay for it.

These losers called, and pretended to my assistant that they know me personally, an Erik Quintana - LIAR. Lying is never a good way to start a business conversation. Two seconds of Googling brought me here. I can't stand these business consultant salesmen pretending to have a buyer for your business so that they can get a listing fee for listing it.

bizsale.com has the stupidest business model ever. If I did want to sell my business, these losers would be the last people I contacted, I'd rather burn it to the ground.

They called and asked if I wanted to sell the business. This is obviously a hook to get you to divulge more information to them.
Their  number comes up as Affiliated Business Consultants which some say here is a BBB accredited business which has been operating for 30 years. It's possible these scammers are spoofing their number to add some credibility to their story.

I have to answer all calls, told them the owner doesn't come in.  Ask if they could leave a message, not a clear message, the owner of my company would fire me if I gave him this number as our corporate manager handles all the business, and he would not even bother with it.  If they don't want to speak with the person who runs the business, then they aren't very legit to me.

Do i want to sell my biz? Calling restaurants during lunch hours? Obviously no common sense.

Check out the complaints on the BBB website.  They charged an outrageous amount of money to "help" list someone's business for sale.  The guy is fighting to get his $37,000 + back.  Lord only knows why they are listed with an A+ rating!

They have been calling us to sell our business and I will not, I repeat WILL NOT deal with this company.....ever!

After recieving numerous calls from these guys, I took a few minutes and did explore their website. they do have a page with employee photos in their job categories and a list of all the "research department" people, including the names of those who have called me. As much as I hate to say it, it does look like a legit business.... BUT....
They are still far too persistant, and in my opinion operating under a very poor business/sales model. I really doubt anyone would be posting to this board if they developed a way to draw people TO them instead of trying to reach out and GRAB them. Other sites looking for peoples things to sell seem to have grown quite well without 1000 phone calls a day? (Ebay, Amazon, craigslist, etc..)
I've told the lady on the phone that the owner isn't here, and not available very often (but I'm the only ONE :-)), but they still keep calling, only from a different number/extension. That's why I'm here..
However legit they might or might not be, it's still a form of phishing in my opinion. It's true that every business relies on sales, but for the effort they go through and the crap they recieve about it, it really seems like upper managment of this place needs a reality check. I don't pick up the phone and start cold calling people? Seems like marketing money is misdirected, and they are behaving like used car salesman.. Especially when I've told them several times to stop calling. Either way, I wouldn't sell my business through them just because they called me and bugged me several times. Hope they read enough of these comments to re-think wasting peoples time.  And the name "Associated Business Associates"? So are they associated people associated with other associates, or are they an associated with other associates that are associated?

Richard Howell called for owner relative to one of our companies.  Caller ID says ?AFFL Busn Consu? and the number is (719) 540-2200.  Would not leave message, would not tell me what it's regarding, and says he'll try again another time.

Got a call from this number. Asked the guy three times to tell me his name before he did. Had to ask twice for his company name before he would tell me.  He started spouting off about that he had a confidential inquiry about someone wanting to buy my business. He was still jabbering as I hung up on him.

Now for the best part. If you want a good laugh, read all the posts here. There are more company shills here than you can shake a stick at. They are so easy to pick out. They remind me of an old movie I once saw called The Gang who couldn't shoot straight except this bunch is The Gang who can't spell right!  The harder they try, the worse they get.  Definitely fugitives from the spelling Police and the fractured English Police can't be far behind.

My spelling and English have their fair shares of fax paus but these guys take it to a new level. Bottom line is this stuff is hilarious.

a Man called and asked for me by name, then said he heard I was selling my business. I asked who he was,he refused to answer and asked again if I was selling. When I told him 'no' he hung up.   This number has called several times before and never left messages.

Received 2 calls and voice mails from this number, 2nd one about a week after the first, guy sounded rather annoyed that I hadn't contacted him already.  Thought I'd look into it here first!  Did call, after hours I guess for wherever they are located and "business consultants" was part of the outgoing message.  Didn't catch the name of the business, didn't really care at that point.  May just block the number if he continues to call.

Got a call from Richard Howell at 719-540-2200 x346 wanting to talk about confidential info on our company.

Called me. I dont want anything from them. I wont even bother to speak with them. I just block calls like this and enjoy the thought that they are wasting time and money.

Another number for the SPAM database.  Now set with no ringtone and will forward to fun voice mail message at YouMail.com - it's more fun to play with these people then get all fired up and stressed about it.

Talked to Guy Dominguez today and find it funny that a couple of nicknames in the beginning of this thread praising this "wonderful" company are "GUY" and "Dom6.". Way to try and be sneaky. I also find it funny that the nature of service is not mentioned by these people. Seems like a scam to me. When I told him that this number does not accept solicitations, he said it was not. When I asked what it was concerning, he would not say unless I confirmed that I was the owner. I am the owner and have no time for people like this.

This company must be incredibly good at what they do!  How else would they be able to have a buyer for my multi-million dollar business without even knowing what it is we do?????    Garbage!

Have received several calls from this number.  She wanted the owners voicemail, so I put her on hold and googled the number.  I told her that he was not interested in selling his business and that I had googled the number and had read the feedback on the company.  I told her do not call again.  She was very polite, and I know she probably thinks she is working for a reputable company.  However, I do not have time for things like this.  Honestly, do you think someone is going to sell their company to a telemarketer.
