SCAM These are sales people that need to show that they called so many people per day for a salary...

I got several calls from this number. I finally answered, herd a mans voice saying "ok cool" to someone, then he asked for me by name....then hung up. Called back....no ring tone....just a "goodbye" in animated voice.

OK, the DNC is actually used by honest business.  However, the frauds,scammers, fake charity's and extortionist are not going to and don't obey any law bottom line!  You also need to realize that many of these bad guy's and the shady business's hide behind spoofed numbers and in some cases actually use legitimate numbers pretending to be them just to get you to answer the phone.

Charity's and Politicians are exempt, though you can usually get removed from the honest charity's lists when asked! You also contact the politicians and request them to do not call by either calling their party, or visiting their websites. Also signing up for the Political DNC helps, I generally refer them over to that list as well! Has worked well too.

The ROT is don't answer calls you don't recognize the numbers for, and never push the numbers they tell you to push to remove you, the only thing you do is verify they have a live number.  Always check the numbers, always file complaints so the agency's have a record of these!  Law enforcement agency's do use those complaints!

Perhaps because they are not selling goods or services and only sales calls are covered?  Besides, who ever heard of scammers and con artists obeying laws and the DNC is just that, a law that legit companies obey. Enforcement happens against violators only after thousands of complaints have been received and then only if the complaints are valid. Far too many complaints are invalid and the government at any level does not have the resources to investigate each and every individual complaint.  The monthly taxes on your phone alone would be 100s of dollars to fully fund the agencies to investigate every complaint and find the few valid ones among all the invalid complaints.

/Why are we still getting these 'anonymous' or 'soliciting' calls when we are on the DO NOT CALL registry????  Can anyone explain to me why they are allowed to call?

Got a call from this number.  When I answered the line was silent then went dead.  Tried calling back, it doesn't ring.  It is just a long silence, then a computerized voice says "Goodbye."

Same here! I got 2 calls yesterday and another call just now. I haven't answered cause I've missed them. Also no voicemail

I've gotten 2 calls from this # today, no messages left.

I keep getting calls and can hear music in the background when I answer but no talking or messages.I tried to call them back but says its not in service.
