Thye called my dad all the time and we moved him in with me and changed his number now they call me.  Claims from shiping dept and it's free, this to a robocall, not a real person.  Saw below link explaining it is a scam.

Robocall alarm scam.  Someone paid to have a "Medic Alert" system installed.  Please press 2 to schedule your install.  There's no such thing.  Medic Alert is a completely different company and quite legit.  These people claim to be the "help, I've fallen and I can't get up" people.  That's Life Alert and probably also not connected to these scammers.  If I get a live one I give them an earful with my police whistle - right in the mouthpiece.

Don't bother talking back.  It's a recording that just picks up where it left off after being interrupted.

The Do Not Call registry provides law abiding companies with the ability to remove numbers on it from the list of numbers they call to solicit the sale of goods or services.  Only sales calls are covered so you can still receive a lot of other types of nuisance calls.  Also, who ever heard of scammers obeying laws?  The Do Not Call office does not directly enforce the law but maintains a database of violation complaints that other law enforcement agencies can use to prosecute violators.  See the FAQ on the Do Not Call website for details.  One of the biggest problems for enforcement is the lack of identification of the caller.  Caller ID spoofing where the actual calling number is not displayed and is therefore not linked back to the caller makes complaints with just the calling number and no company name very hard to follow up on.

I have a simple question. Does the Do Not Call Registry do anything? Do they get tax payer money. They are worse than the IRS to let scammers like this continue. At least 800notes provides information. The DNC does nothing.720-449-2911 calls every day.

You were talking to a recording.  You do not get to speak to an actual person until you press "1" towards the end of the message.  It is done to sound like an actual person but not being able to interrupt the message gives it away as does the press "1" to schedule your delivery press "5" to decline.

Called to set up delivery of MedicAlert system which had not been ordered, nor ever requested. Caller will not respond to questions, just keeps reading his script, even when I informed him that I was on the National Do Not Call Registry.

We have received this same message about 6 times over the last couple of weeks. The guy is just reading from a script and it appears to be recorded as you cannot get this guys attention. We just hang up, but one would think that such an obvious scam would have the phone police all over it... but the calls keep coming.

Received the same type of call from this number with the message described above.  Wanted to schedule the installation of the medical alarm system, indicating it had already been paid for.  An obvious scam.

John with "Medic Alert" wanting to schedule installation of the service I ordered.  Scam, and not a good one.  Guy would not stop reading his script.  Any time I stopped him he went back to reading it.  It was ridiculous.  The company is Medic Alert Systems, not to be confused with Medic Alert Foundation, which is a non-profit foundation that makes medic alert bracelets and medallions.  I told the scumbag to come on over and we'd discuss it.  He just went back to reading his script.  Fool.

Yep, keep getting the same MediLert call. Total scam, poor elderlies that will no doubt fall for it.

They call from several different numbers, it is  SCAM big time

Got one today and blocked him.

Call from this number claiming to have a medical alert system already paid for . I told him he had the wrong # and he kept going and then said press 1 to accept and 5 to decline. I pressed 5 and he hung up. Now am worried that this gave them some type of info. What ever you do just hang up

WHY CAN THE PHONE COMPANIES STOP THESE CALL EVEN THO I HAVE COMPLAINED
I JUST DON'T ANSWER A CALL UNLESS I KNOW WHO IT IS FROM,IT IS JUST ANNOYING TO KEEP GETTING THESE CALLS
