Definitely a scam. Texted about a car for sale on Craigslist.  Bad grammar,  willing to pay full price (rare as we know) so got suspicious.  Then he used pay pal fake emails to get me to use western union to pay shipping company in advance??? Of course I would be reimbursed...anyhow after string him along with some text messages filled with equally as terrible grammar.  I reported it to PayPal!

Same situation...Ann Water texts to say she's interested in a truck I have listed on Craigslist, from a Denver, CO number. Immediately wants to know if we have Paypal to she can send payment and have an agent pick up the truck. Not happening. SCAM!

I guess it is either a scam or poor Anne Water can't seem to get anyone to let her buy anything.  lol

I just got a message from another number also saying she was Anne water.  The texts started from 405-872-6082 and then half way through the conversation the number completely changed and she said her phone died and needed to use her husbands phone.  The new number was 508-687-2084 and they seemed shocked that I wouldn't take payment for my $42,000 truck through pay pal.  After I told them that I wasn't going to let myself get scammed then they quit texting me.

We called the number and the person's name is William Melton.  There was no answer.  And about my earlier post, I asked the person to meet me in person first and they said no deal.

I got a text from this number too when I posted an ad on craig's list and they asked me for my paypal account information as well!! She said she was a girl named Anne Water.  She also told me that this was her first time buying anything online and that they liked my firm/advert!!  I knew something was strange!  They didn't want to meet me first or see the items before giving me any money!

Got the same thing!!!

I put an AD on Craiglist selling my car.  Thirty minutes later I received a text and said, "I am satisfied with your firm/advert." them he or she said, "Kindly get back to me with your PayPal e-mail address and your full name so i can proceed with the payment?'

Just listed an item on craigslist and also received a text asking if i have an account with pay pal. Im sure its a scam!!!

I just received a text message from the same number asking for my pay pal e-mail address for an item I listed on craigs list. They are not worried about picking up the item or seeing the item first. Sound fishy to me too.

Received a cal from this number wanting to buy something I advertised.  Would like to know who it is.
