thank you very much, i had something similiar to this phone call, and funny thing was it came from denver, co as did this phone call, but they call my phone numerous times in a day and also leave me messages. but i noticed when i called back that the lady who speaks very good english asked me for a extension, and i told her there was not one left on the voicemail. then she carried on with her b***s*** about me going to be arrested.... im calling all three credit bureaus in a few minutes, to notify them of fraud alerts, i've been dealing with idenity theft for about the past 2 years so this is a ongoing nightmare for me! i know clearly this was not me, but it is enought to scare the s*** out of someone, because no one in their right mind wants to go to jail.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

THIS SAME NUMBER CALLED MY PHONE AND TOLD ME THAT I WAS GOING TO BE ARRESTED FOR FRAUD, SCARY THING IS THEY HAVE MY BANKING INFORMATION AND MY EMPLOYER INFORMATION AS WELL AS MY SOCIAL SECUIRTY NUMBER, THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS BECAUSE OF A ONLINE PAYDAY LOAN, WHICH I HAVE NEVER HAD!!!! LUCKILY THE ACCOUNT INFORMATION THEY HAVE HAS BEEN CLOSED FOR OVER TWO YEARS. I ASKED IF I COULD GET THE NUMBER TO THE PAYDAY LOAN COMPANY WHOM THEY ARE TELLING THAT IS NAMED EVEREST PAYDAY LOANS, AND THEY TOLD ME NO THEY WOULDNT TALK TO ME, AND I COULD EXPECT A BOND TO BE SET A 3,000!!!!!!!! I THINK IM ABOUT TO HAVE A ANXIETY ATTACK!!!!! PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS A SICK SCAM!!! I KNOW THIS IS NOT ME THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT !!

They left me a voice message stating that have a case in their office regarding a potential fraud case. I have received similar calls from other numbers w messages like this and they are also SCAMMED CALLS. Wth!

This sounds like the very same caller whom called me, and said the very same thing to me. I talk to my lawyer and she said it
