Another home security system scam.  I have started hitting #1 and talking to a live operator.  When they answer, I always ask them, "Is working for a criminal organization your only choice because you failed to graduate high school or is it because you have a felony conviction?"  The clown on the other end usually pauses before claiming that they are not representing a criminal organization.

I pressed 9 to be placed on their do not call list but no further info was provided or a confirmation or anything so I just hung up. Ugh.

Or, as taxpayers, we didn't have to pay for incompetence. I will not defend the NSA. The FCC is probably helpless to discover whose computer is robo-calling millions. Thus, they don't try. If no one answered these thieves when they call, they wouldn't bother calling eventually. Don't use an answering machine or VM. See my way of dealing with them at a few entries above here. Good luck. We could make their illegal enterprises reward them with only a big waste of their time.

Don't answer, because they are looking for live numbers to put on lists to sell to other weasels. Don't play the game. Shut off your answering machine and use only Caller ID and Call Blocking. Then, block any callers who do not identify themselves by revealing their name and number. When you know who is calling, you can either pick up or call them back if you're out or busy if it is someone you want to speak with. You get used to this system quickly and then you have the last laugh because they don't get anything that they want. Ha!

I believe that telemarketers mine the DNC List for live numbers. I believe it is useless, because if you ask an honest business not to call you, they will likely never do it again. It's the weasels and scumbags who bother you.

Why would I hire a company from Denver CO to sell me Home Security equipment living in New Jersey? I blocked their calls, based on information at this URL, with Google Voice. It looks like a SCAM call to me when they leave no messages. They should be fined but the group is hard to trace.

One arm of the federal government (NSA) collects data on EVERY phone call made in this country.  This is unwarranted snooping and should not be allowed.

Another arm of the federal government (FCC) is supposed to protect us from unwanted and intrusive phone calls.  The key word is 'supposed' because their performance in this arena is a joke.

The NSA is overly zealous while the FCC is incompetent.  The American public would be best served if they switched goals.

Today at my house the caller ID for 720-885-9121 says "Bank Card Srvcs". But it isn't a legitimate bank or security company, nor are they trying to sell you *anything*. They aren't telemarketers. They are criminals hoping to scam you out of money. They use different phone numbers and masquerade as different types of businesses. Tell them nothing.

So much for the f****** no call list!

Received automated call.  Called back & got recording.  "Press # key to be removed from our marketing list"  I did that.  Immediately got another recorded voice prompt, "Press 3 to confirm."  I did that, too.  Got a third voice responce, "Your request is being processed."  Now we'll just . . .  Wait and see.

P/C f: 720 885-9121X000 @ 1:10PM MDT.  Automated system with male voice stating something or other about a security system.  Somewhere in that message he states that seniors over the age of 65 is a target...  ("Freud's Transferrence Theory?" )

Home security free of charge.  What a scam.  Use different numbers,  I am so fed up with these people.  I turned in 15 numbers to Attorney General.  I am on the do not call list.  So much for how that works. I pressed 1 and as soon as I told them I was turning them into Attorney General they hung up.

I try to screen my calls by letting it go to the ans. machine because the majority of them are "robocalls".  Sure enough this one went to my ans. machine without leaving a message.  Did *69, and it was this number (720-885-9121).  I'm also on the DNC list but that doesn't seem to help!

First words they say is "DON'T HANG UP" claims to have chosen my household for a free home security system.  They're a huge nuisance.  Called me 5/7/13 at 3:23 pm

This afternoon, I had a call at 12:53 on May 7, 2013.  I answered and it was a recorded message from Security Solutions for a free GE security system.  I've had a number of these calls from various phone numbers over the last few months. Like most people I'm getting tired of it and am going to report them on donotcall.gov.  I hope everybody does the same.

ok, did some more tracing; there is a BOGUS link to an address in Denver Colorado for an H&R Block office at that address.  Obviously someone trying to stay one step ahead of someone doing a search on the internet.

Called them back to try and ask to be put on their do not call list, and you only get two options, neither of which puts you on a do not call list.  I want to pursue suing them, since they're obviously trying to get around the federal mandated do not call list. I'm currently unemployed and willing to put long hours in to collect from a lawsuit.   Leave a message here if you're a lawyer looking to get in on a class action lawsuit with this.

Why did I ever think these telemarketers would check a Do Not Call phone list.  I added my phone # to the list, but have received --more-- calls since I did.

Missed the call?thought it was business call since my call-waiting revealed it was from Denver CO. I star-69'd and it "unmasked" the number in this thread, 720-885-9121. When I returned the call, a low quality answering machine picks up without a company name or announcement and  states, "if you'd like to be removed from our marketing list please press pound." There is no feedback when you press  the pound key to be removed, so I doubt it worked and suggest not pressing it as it probably is just giving affirmation that my number is valid and maybe will try again. Obviously, this is a telemarketer or worse doesn't regard the DO NOT CALL registry.

I've had unwanted calls from over 200 different numbers in the past year and many of them call multiple times. I have not answered any of them and they still keep calling my number. I block or call forward to a disconnected number the most the most annoying ones  There is no way to stop these calls

These people call three or four times a week.  I have now blocked them.

Who is this ?  Im kind of tired of this number calling all the time and
telling me my safety is in jeopardy. My husband is a policeman ( detective)
and I am not scared at all.
