Rec'd a txt from this number-basically the same as above. I have a high priced item on CL (with no picture) and they wanted to pay via paypal, sight unseen. DUH!!! The email they gave me was merlinda235@gmail.com. I said no, cash in hand and was willing to hold it for a week while they did a cash advance/check from a credit card to cash. They got a little pushy" Let me know when you are done signing up"? LOL...

I just got a text from this number, stating she was interested in purchasing an item I listed on craigs list in Dallas.  Gave me kathrinescott4@gmail as an address to send a paypal invoice.  Wanted to send me the courier fees as well.  As the text continued I decided to google this number...and here I am with the rest of you!  Scammer!!!

I rec'd a call today from this number about an item on CL, thank goodness, I googled it first and found the responses.  It is great that we can look out for one another.  Best regards,

This scammer targeted me as well with a text identifying them self as "Katherine"  The Text was as follows:

Them: (1/2)my name is Katherine just checking your listing on cl wondering if it is still available for sale if yes you can get back to me asap thanks...

Me: Still available, Would you like to come look at it today?

Them: OK..Hope is still in great condition as the advert stated on Craigslist

As I learned by a simple google search, this person is a craigslist scammer and they will send a fake email from paypal saying that the funds were held until the courier receives payment.  You pay the courier and end up with no money and you have given your item you were selling away for free and paid to have it shipped to the courier scammer.  I hope this scammer from the phone number 724-973-6708 rots in hell.  for the benefit of others using google search I am entering the number as it appeared on my phone +1 (724) 973-8708

Craig's list scammer. I sent them my registered PayPal account info and I received a FAKE PayPal email telling me that a hold was placed on the funds until I send payment to the courier and is confirmed by PayPal.

I forwarded the fake email to spoof@paypal.com. This is the fraud dept.

Received text message from this scammer regarding craigslist ad. They wanted to know if item was still available. Then they said they "hope is still in great condition as the advert stated on craigslist." They wanted to pay by paypal and send a courier to pick up the item. I asked some questions and they now have broken off communications.
