I am on the Do Not Call list. Yet I have received continued phone calls from this company offering to save me money on my heating and cooling bills from many different numbers. It is a machine when they call, I have to press a number just to speak to someone. I have told them several times to take me off their list, most times they just hang up on me. I can't block the calls, because they are using a bunch of different numbers. The caller ID always just says "Cell Phone    FL". I called the St. Petersburg police department and filed a report to Investigator Novitz 551-3157 and Officer Gainer at 727-893-7780, Case# 2010 – 035420. A company called the, Energy Conservation Group has been harassing my family for several weeks now with Pre-Recorded phone messages from different phone lines.  Using ?Robo-Call? techniques, (pre-recorded messages and automated dialing machines) for telemarketing is illegal in the state of Florida.  They are breaking the law and making families miserable.  Please help me take action to stop these criminals.  If you are getting these calls; please, don?t just sit there and take it.  Take action and be heard.  No government agencies will act until enough people complain.

*  Note.  Make sure you clearly identify in each complaint that they are contacting you, ?illegally using Pre-Recorded messages?.

1.  Contact the Florida Division of Consumer Services and file a formal complaint.

You do not need to be on the Florida Do-Not-Call List to file the complaint.  You will need the phone numbers the Energy Conservation Group used to call you.  File a separate complaint against each phone number they used.

2.  Contact the Florida Attorney General?s office and file a formal complaint.  The Attorney General?s office informed me that the State of Florida will not take legal action until enough citizens complain.  As of 2 June 2010, they had 11 complaints against this company.

These are bad people, please report them.  They want access to you and your home.  They will not provide you with a return phone number or address.  They will not tell you of their real intent on gaining access to your home.

Getting close there using different numbers. Officer Gaines of the Saint Pete Police Department requests EVERYONE to file a Telephone Harrasment Case with there Agency. Call 727-893-7780  Also refrence case number 2010-036042  & Case# 2010 ? 035420. Investigator  Novitz is handling the case. They may be from Orlando but the Florida Department of Law Enforcement will get the SCUM.

The calls stopped when Florida Energy Management was exposed......

Please let me know how to join it with you. We received calls from this company on several different phone numbers, and overall the "operators" are less than pleasant when you ask them to not call and take you off the call list.

How do i stop these messages? who can i call? i hit 2 i hit 1, someone always hangs up on me if i hit 1

i HAVE PUT ALL MY NUMBERS ON THE "do not call me on my business lines and home phones at dinner" and can not get them to stop and they use other numbers as well with the same stupid message,Ironically,wew have had the legit Progress Energy program for years,Help!!!!

If you push button #2 when the recording is on it says it will remove your phone #. Or you could push #1 and get a real live person and piss them off and take up their time

I have been receiving calls from this number at work and this number started showing up on my cell phone but no one is ever on the other end and when you call the number back the voice mail is filled up, it is so annoying!!!

We have been receiving calls DAILY from this number for over 45 days....We have too repeatedly ask to be removed from there so called "LIST" without any success.....Funny we do not qualify for anything they are pitching as this is a business.....ANYONE WHO COMES INTO J&C AUTOMOTIVE 1480 MAIN STREET DUNEDIN AND MENTIONS THIS SAME PROBLEM WILL RECIEVE 10% OFF when you sign a petition to have this method of conducting business STOPPED!!!!!

727-251-6604 -"Energy Management" according to the recording-has been incessantly calling my business now for over a month.  Upon reaching a live person, they refuse to allow you to speak with a supervisor/hang up instead of merely taking the number off of their call list. It is an annoyance and takes up valuable time in a business person's day.

Receiving calls from 727-251-6604. No one there. I just hang up. I've not signed up for any energy programs with Progress Energy. I'm on do not call lists. If you are getting calls from this same #, complain about it if you are on do not call lists and they will get sued $11,000 per call.
Of course, the company making these calls could be using software that shows this 727 area code # even though they are calling from a different # entirely, perhaps not even within the same area code or country.
If you get TOO angry about these calls, it might also be a sign you have too much time on your hands!. Start your own telemarketing company and compete with them. Just don't call residential #'s where there are unemployed people with too much time on their hands that may get personally offended when you call them offering them products they can't really afford because they haven't received their large Obama check in the mail yet:) It takes two to argue. I'll rely on someone else filing complaints. I do hope this company gets in trouble though.

Yet another robo call from Energy Management (Florida Energy Management, I think) purporting to be a public service announcement which is an allowed use of robo calls or calls to number on the DNC list and not a sales call.  Calls show as if from a cell phone.  It is not a public service announcement, it is a sales pitch.  They call several times a day and you cannot get them to stop.  I am planning to sue them.
