I think these people are trying to sell their product which is on top of this page.  The phone call blocking and they would annoy you to make you purchase this product.  Just don't answer the phone.

I had received a few calls from this number with no answer.  I usually don't pick up but had.  Finally after about 10 calls from the number someone answered when I picked up the call.  She started her little speech...I immediately told her I was not interested in whatever she was offering and to put me on a do not call list she appologized and told me that I would not hear from them again...and I have not.  But now I am having some problems with my checking account at my local bank and have started receiving calls from 866-475-8517.  Again, no one answers when I pick up and when I call back all I get is a busy tone.  Has anyone else heard from this number?

After I read what others have written on this site, I have placed a fraud alert with the 3 major credit bureaus as well as notified my bank as to a possible attempt to compremise my acct.  I also contacted the FTC and they said I did all of the right things and case will be documented regarding this number.  Also, if others contact the FTC this may help build a case against this business that seems to interupt so many of our precious time & cell minutes :-)  I placed the alerts on May 30th and as of June 6th (today) I haven received a call since June 1.  I guess either the fraud alert sent them trolling somewhere else or the FTC contacted them???? Who knows but it has stopped for now.

Called me telling me I had won a 2 night trip to somewhere and a 400 dollar gift card. He kept telling me that I was a noble customer to this bank  and such....which is stupid because I work where i bank and I know there is no such prize... He kept telling me he wanted me to verify my information. He actually read me my full name, which I never use my full name ( i have 2 last names ). He read me my old address, my phone number, and my account number. I asked him for his name and he said "JEREMEY DHAFLER" which could be a fake, I mean, he even spelled it out for me. I asked him how he got all  my info and he said through a debit transaction that I had used...It's all bogus but he still has my information. I told him that I work where I bank and told him if I noticed anything strange on my account I would report him. He responded with "o-ok" right then I knew for sure this was fraud. BUT he somehow has my personal info.

They have called me several times in the last week. I ignored the calls because I did not recognize the phone number. Today, finally, I looked up the phone number on Google and found this page. This is great information. Thanks!

Called, knowing my name and address, offering me travel vouchers ($400). All they needed was my account information so they could charge for shipping. He stated that he was switching to a "secure, customer care line" in other words starting the recording (it's a FCC violation to record a person without their expressed consent). I asked him several times how they got my information, but he said it was provided by a service. I hung up before the "secure" line was changed over.

They got a hold of me several months ago and almost talked me into "verifying" my account info until I backed out because it sounded too weird.

I don't know how they got my number, but I don't think they actually have my bank account info. I think they get it from you by asking you to "verify."

I don't know what to do, either. It sucks. I've ignored their (new) calls for the last two days, but I just saw this thread, and I think I'm going to answer next time and curse out the person on the other end next time they call. It'll at least give me some measure of self satisfaction.

they have called me several times as well- basically with the same exact story everyone here has posted. that i had won some free airline tickets and accomodation vouchers and they had my banking information as well. i was furious i pressed about how they had obtained my information as i had not purchased anything recently and stated repeatedly that i was not interested- they kept dodging the question, just stating that it was one of their affiliates, they also knew my mailing address and wanted to send the "tickets" via priority mail and started into their marketing sell and i just said i did not have time and hung up.  Of course I never received anything and did not think about it again until just  now when they called again and googled the number and came upon this site.  I am concerned now that they have my banking information and might try and fraudlently debit from it?!?! any advice?

I appreciate your info I called them out on it and they backed into a corner and didn't want to answer any of my questions.  I don't understand how people are able to get away with this.

Thank you all!!!
These people keep calling me too, so before I answered I googled them and here I am.
I just want to add that recently I had 3 (unsuccessful) attempts to debit a lot of money through my account using   Western Union. Not sure if that is related.  i DID recently update my info on verizon wireless.  And Amazon.  Don't you think it is more likely that these major companies are innocent and they have been hacked? Maybe that is what you are saying already and I misunderstood....Did most of you decide to change your bank accounts? (Ive already done it 3 times bc of theW Union thing. grrrr.)  If you *didnt*, did you have more problems?
Thank you!!!

7272520514 - they started calling yesterday, when I answered the first time. It was a doofy-sounding guy who simply asked for a gentleman named Tony. I was peeved about something already and shouted "No!" and hung up. Since then they've called five times, but I've missed them. I had service with Verizon Wireless for almost 2 years but it was under a friend's name and my home phone number and personal information was never made available to them.

Caller starts by asking for me by my first name. Upon confirming that they have reached me (I said "speaking"), he inmediately proceeds with the sales/scam talk. Based on my past Internet purchases using my bank account, I have won travel products worth $400... At this point I thanks them for their generosity but that I am not intersted. I then hang up.
They have called already three times. More than likely, they are scammers or thieves trying to steal or confirm bank information.

====EVERYONE READ THIS PLEASE!!!!!!!!!===================

These people ALREADY HAD my bank account number before I ever answered one of their calls as well.

In other words, YOUR BANK ACCOUNT NUMBERS MAY HAVE BEEN STOLEN FROM A DATABASE, likely by an experienced hacker. You may need to have your account number changed!

You need to report them to the *****U.S. Secret Service****. The job of investigating telemarketing fraud and theft of financial account information is now theirs. Call the Secret Service during business hours to report or send an email to the Secret Service Miami Task Force. These people are calling out of Florida.

You can also report them to the FTC, but they do not investigate individual complaints.

These people have no products or services to offer. It is all fake. If anyone says otherwise, it's someone working for their company.

At least in my case, they already had my bank account number and personal information before I ever answered the phone. It was STOLEN. These people are CROOKS. They will try to trick you into agreeing to debit your account; if that fails, they may just edit the phone conversation with a computer to make it sound as if you DID agree.

You need to report them to the Secret Service:

Miami Task Force: miaectf@einformation.usss.gov
Include your name, address, telephone number and complete report of what happened.

Or call your local branch during business hours.

Ay I got the same thing just an hour ago, from this same number. Thing is, I recently won a trip to Hawaii and thought that that's why they were trying to give me this. But my bank is local, not nationwide, so I should not have recieved a call from someone in Florida about my account, and he was getting rude with me. He was like "You don't need to be hastie with me, sir, I'm trying to send you $400 for keeping a steady account ending in....". He knew my account number, what is the deal with this?

These clowns had been calling me all week and I finally answered it today curious as to see who it was. I didn't care much and was going along with it until they started talking about the $2.95 shipping charge. So I said I wasn't interested and they got PUSHY. I hung up.

About 2 hours later another guy calls asking about the previous call and I say "I am not intertested in buying it" and he yells "WE DON'T WANT YOU TO BUY ANYTHING, JUST REVIEW IT." So I told him I wasn't interested in reviewing it either and he said "ok, thanks for approving the charge" and he hung up.

I never gave those clowns my bank info though. Some people here are saying that they already have our bank info though. I better not get any charges from these crooks.

If your phone is registered on the Do Not Call List - file a complaint by going to this website - https://www.donotcall.gov/Complain/ComplainCheck.aspx
The company, when everyone complains, will be monetarily penalized.  I thought I registered this number already, but apparently I didn't and can't complain unless I've been on the registry for at least 31 days.  So, please - complain, complain, complain!!  :)  Thanks everyone, Tina
