look i use to work there if you pick up then tell them you want to be put on the no call list it takes 24-48 hours for there computers to process that so dont pick up your phone after you tell them to take you off

I have no callerid info unfortunately (call screening is active and this came through as unknown). BUT, I received a very similar call. I was immediately skeptical as I was told I had been entered into a $100,000 sweepstakes automatically because I have a VISA/MasterCard/etc in good standing. Unfortunately, I have shamefully horrible credit at present so I knew this NOT to be true. This person did already know that I had a Bank of America account - when I told him I don't have a credit card, he referred me specifically to the bank name. Maybe this is where they are getting our information? My skepticism apparently was not lost on this fellow who at one point told me to "put the shotgun back in the closet". Huh?!? I was also asked the question about school (I also refused to answer). I was told it had nothing to do with the sweepstakes, but that I would receive a call if I was not in school about some great educational offer. (As I understand it, whether or not you are a full-time student can make a big difference if a collection company brings you to court.) Long story-short, I was then offered a watch as well (with a genuine diamond chip!) upon which he told me "well, I have your city as {X} but they forgot to include the street". I finally just ask if I can have a number to call back to which he responded "what does it matter if I call you or you call me?". So I say that I don't give out the information he's asking for without the ability to verify who is calling. His final response to this: "sir, may I suggest you go grow a pair, and have a nice day" Unreal.

ive been getting called by this number and 727-451-2945 and i just answered the once from 7000 and i muted it to see if they would say anything and so they couldnt hear me but it was like "im gonna die" and that was it and they hung up. i was like holyyyyy crappppp.

They keep calling my cell phone.

I received a call and they asked for me but didn't know my last name. I tried to call them back and it said not in service. They are scam artist they try to get authorized to your credit card and then after that you get robbed, they have access to your credit card. Forget about calling customer service the number doesn't work. Be careful out there America.

Received 5 calls on 6-28-2010 from 727-259-7000.  when I tried to call back it siad this number is not in service.  received 1 call from them today.  Same thing.  My phone is registered witht the do not call registery.  I will report them them also.

Received a call,  yesterday, telemarketer, congratulated me how I kept up my credit scores of my credit card, won some prized, I immedately asked to withdraw my name from the list and number and hung up.  Recieved another another call this moring played rap music and they hung up... they called again, called me by my first named, congratluated me again, .. I asked stated that I receved a called yesterday, asked to be removed from list,  wanted. the calls to stop.  When you call back the number is not in service.

Keep getting this call.  Sometimes it rings only once.  Never leaves a message.  Been getting it for over a week at least 2-3 times a day.

Thanks for posting the second phone number.  I called the 451 number and spoke with probably one of the rudest people i've heard on the phone in a while.  Gave him my number and told him to stop.  we'll see if that does anything.  It was nice to get someone on the other end instead of the disconected message i would get with the 259-7000 number.

Harassing my cell phone number.

I have been getting these calls from 727-259-7000 for the past few days. My phone says its out of Clearwater, FL. When you call back it says that the number isn't in service. How do these people get away with this?

They've been calling since I purchased a TV-ad item, and they tried to scam me into buying some other stuff. They asked me if I would like to receive a $100 gas card, and I right away knew it was too good to be true, so I told the girl that it was best to not send it over to my address. After 5 minutes of me saying "no" to every offer they had, she quickly said "thank-you, bye". They've been doing this for quite a while now, so I registered with the Do Not Call Registry and hopefully, they ADIBE THE LAW and respect my privacy and my time.

They have been calling nonstop for several weeks, I have ignored it because I did not know the number.  I finally picked up yesterday and they said "Goodbye", I called back and said I wanted my number removed from their call list and this guy goes on to tell me that I've been entered into a one million dollar sweepstakes for being a Preferred cardholder, and that I would get a women's designer watch, 5 free magazines and New York Magazine for which I would have to pay 4.00/week...he then put me on the line with his supervisor so I could put in a good word for him since he was a new employee...she got on the phone and I started questioning why in the world I would have been selected, how they got my number etc.  She sounded completely unsure and shocked and could not answer my questions.  I said I wanted my number removed and that the conversation was over.
Well that didn't work apparently because I JUST got another call right now a day later!

I also received several calls to my cell from 727-259-7000, so I finally answered the call. The rep asked to speak with me (don't know how she knew my name), then told me that I had been selected to be a winner in a 100,000 sweepstake for being a great Visa cardholder. I told her that I did not enter a sweepstake, and she told me that because I was a Visa or Mastercard cardholder, I had automatically been entered into the sweepstake and won. I told her that since I did not enter myself into the sweepstake, I did not want their prize and to please delete my number from their call list. She then asked me if I was a Visa or Mastercard cardholder (thought she knew that I was a great Visa cardholder) or a current student. I responded by telling her not to call my number anymore. She then disconnected the call. Annoying telemarketers/liars/scammers!!! If it sounds too good to be true, 99.9% of the time, it is! I would advise anyone to not give out any personal information when these people call, and to tell them to not call you. There are laws to stop harassing calls! If they continue to harass you after you have asked them not to call you, contact your state's Attorney General and report them.

I talked to them today and a lady with a creole dialect said "I have great news for you today" so I replied with "Oh sweet! What channel is Obama's resignation speech on?" and she replied with "naw, I aint say nuthin bout no obama quitt'n!" and she was mad the rest of the time... I love to just play these people like a violin.... eventually I told her I needed to "get off the phone, I'm not interested, I dont want magazines or some crappy watch... I have to get back to work because Greece needs my tax dollars".

Needless to say they called back again, this time another creole but a man this time. I told him I dont have any money and I dont want to pay a dime for this 'sweepstakes'. If I win, thats great, Obama will rape me for 40% taxes on the money anyway. He asked me what my hobbies were... I said "watching FoxNews, reading Glenn Beck books and standing watch at the Mexico border with my Minutemen friends" he asked me if I exercised and I said "well chasing mexicans at the fence line and tea party rallies are a big time exercise committment".
