I got a call from them too and it sounded very robotic. So I interrupted the call and asked if it was a robot call and they replied (still in robot voice) no I am a live person we just use this system so that deaf people can operate the call. They claimed that a representative will be in my area and would like to offer a free security system if we just allow them to put an advertisement in our yard.

I don't feel safe about letting a stranger into our house to install a "security system".

But the call itself was from a company called Level One http://levelone.com/
I don't know if what the person told me was totally honest and maybe it's a call center in India where they use these soundboards to make people feel like they are talking to an American. I've worked in call centers before that used outsourcing and it made our customers very angry. So I can understand using a system like this to try and cover that up. I said "Hello" .  A computerized voice said "Goodbye.  Don't know what this is about, but I'm ready for these annoying calls to end.

Keep getting phone calls from this number and when I answer it says goodbye?????
