If they call again, ask them what does PCI PED update, bet they won't have an answer!!!

Received call from Merchant Services repeating what everyone is saying. However, the phone number I was given was 800-309-0524. What's a "card association" anyway?!  Hope they don't get a cent from anyone.

This is absolutely despicable.

They called during business hours but we close that day, and message left said we are your merchant account and we have to do an upgrade to your credit card terminal please call us back on 800 239977 to do this.

I have reputable provider who wouldn't stoop to this.

I absolute hate these people......get a real job ans stop lying and scamming people for a living, how do you sleep at night?

These seem to be directed at people with credit card terminals (not that I have one). Maybe they are trying to get people to "update" their terminals in a way that will allow them access to transmitted card info.
I got:
"...Services A new SFAS fee has been assessed to your merchant services account. To receive an adjustment. Please call us at 1(800) 309-0524. Thank you".

I got this slightly different message:

"...Merchant Services A new SFAS fee has been assessed to your merchant services account. To receive an adjustment, please call us at 1(800) 309-0524."

I better call right away about that adjustment. They probably want to give me money!! Haha. Scam

They said they were Merchant Services with a mandatory security update...that's as far as it got before I hung up.  Never heard of them.

Scam alert.......Had a automated phone call from 727-344-1275 claiming to be from Merchant services telling me that we needed to update information on our credit card terminal in order to be in compliance with new regulations. THe message told me to call 866-559-9257 for more details. We do not deal with Merchant services as they are not our credit card broker. There is a company called Merchant services but I think this scam company spoofed their phone number.

So glad I looked this up. Elderly business owner would have been upset with "not in compliance". I see this has been going on since 2009, why can't some Attorney General shut these people down?

Glad I read all of this before I called them back. They called our business phone on a Sunday as well

Phone call from this number at 8:15  p.m. on Saturday night into my business number (Mon- Friday business) Said I needed to call back to avoid more charges on my account. "What account". Scam...

The same as all the others claiming about state law pci ped update and the phone number 866 559 9257

This number calls both of our locations several times a day claiming to be from "Merchant Services" trying to scam us about a "new state law". I have called our credit card service and they confirmed that this call did NOT come from them and that they would NEVER call regarding something like that, it would all be handled in writing via the mail and/or sent to the email address we provided to them. I have asked them repeatedly to stop calling our numbers.

I would have to agree. I received a message early this week urging me to, as quickly as possible, release private information about by business merchant services. I would also like the home phone number of this for lack of a better word, "a***ole" so I can call him asking for his personal information. I could really use a little extra $$$ and I am sure he could relate!

Too Bad the Florida Attorney generals office is such a useless branch of govt. Lots of these type calls from Fl because THEY CAN!

I got a message on my business voicemail from (727) 344-1275 saying that it was "Merchant Services" and that I needed to do a PCI / PED update to my credit card machine.  Then it said that I need to call (866) 559-9257 to make sure I comply with the government mandated update.  (It did mention that I should have received a notice in the mail which of course I didn't).  I am almost positive this is a scam!

Caller ID says: "First Natl Merc",  Call came in on Saturday evening
at 8:56 PM.   Total Scam.   After reading all of the above posts, it's
really annoying that "First Natl Merc" can continue the harassment.

They have called 6 times in the past 2 weeks. I have been nice so far. Now I am mad.
I told them do not call me again, or I will call them until I die on the hour. They are deceptive and rude.

Attempted to get credit card info.

Got a call at 12:14AM from phone number 1-727-344-1275. I picked the phone up quickly since it was late at night and then it, human or computer, hung up.

Scum bags calling cell phones for telemarketing! They're gonna' have my original motorola phone stuck up the butt if I ever see them in person.

I missed a call from this number while I was teaching class at 14:22 Central Time Zone. Called back at 16:13 CT and business was closed.

The caller ID: First National Merchant.  
BIG RED FLAG.  SCAM!
What bank does business on Sunday? Scam.
I do not do business with a bank with that name.

Have no idea why anyone would give their personal info to someone on the phone anyway!
