I have been receiving calls from these 'card services' telemarketers for over a year now. I have been blocking each number they have called with (over 35 at this point). And I have been filing complaints with the FTC Do Not Call Registry and the FCC complaint site, to no avail. I do suggest you all do the same, and do not talk to them or call them back.

But to really get some attention, I created a petition on the White House We The People site. Please go there and sign it, we have to get the word out any way we can:

I have a similar story with the same company but DOZENS of different phone numbers. Usually if I hit redial, I get a crazy signal but today I got a recording that the MagicJack number I dialed was not ASSIGNED and I could have it if I wanted it!  BIZARRE!!  Like you, I've filed DOZENS of complaints with the "do not call" registry but it doesn't even slow the calls down.  I've sat thru, waited for a human and told THEM to stop calling me.  No stopping it.  NOTHING stops it and it just drives me BUGGY!
What info did you need to get to sue them??  I would LOVE to do that, too!  You posted a while ago so I would be VERY interested to know how it came out!!

Want to lower my interest rates but will not identify themselves.

They called my cell phone with the same deal to lower my interest rates.  They told me a had a credit card with a balance of over $3,000.00, paying over 19% interest.  I told them I do not have a credit card with a $3,000.00 balance.  They got agitated and said the computer told them that, I asked if they know my name, they did not, and they would not tell the name of the company calling.  I asked to speak to his manager and they hung up on me.

These calls are already outlawed! My phone rings off the hook from these illegal callers.
So do you really think and believe that if guns are outlawed we would be safe? I for one am not that stupid! I've called 911 before for help and they never showed up. Thank god for my neighbor and "her" weapon....
If anything is outlawed don't depend on the government to take over to protect you even from phone calls! let alone a rapist or child molester... you can remain ignorant but I'm not...

I'm getting the same song and dance as everyone else from this number.  But my caller ID registered it as a cell phone.  The pre-recorded message was the same, though -- I needed to join their program to lower my credit card bills, that this was my last chance, press 1 to talk to an operator, 2 to be removed from their list, etc.

I pressed 2 to be taken off their list, but I don't have any faith I will be.  Therefore, I am blocking their number on my phone.  I, too, am on the DNC list, but here is yet another example that being on the list simply doesn't work.  Especially for scammers like this -- what reputable company calls you from a CELL PHONE, does not identify themselves, and gives a pre-recorded message???

They hang up on you cause they can't lower a damn thing.

They offer to lower your interest rate, then if you ask who exactly they are they hand up on you.

I continue to be harassed by call from 702-520-2409.  When I spoke to a "live operator," after pressing "1," today, he hung up on me when I complained about calls.  I redialed the number and then received a prompt to stop calls by pressing "1,"--which I did. . .again.  And I suspect I will have to do it again tomorrow and the day after, etc.

I do not respond to unfamilar numbers. If it is important, they will leave word.

I, too, am on the Do Not Call list but the scumbags still call. Non-reputable companies don't give a c***.

I received a call from this number at 12:03 PM today.  Thankfully I missed the call, and after reading this I won't pick up.

Called and left no message.  Putting them on my call blocker :)

I really have to laugh at your ignorance of the system. I have been on the do not call list for years. [3] They ignore the do not call list and I've reported 100's of them to no avail. I've contacted the FTC, my Senator, the Attorney General in my state and their state and it doesn't bother them in the least even when I tell them I am doing so. They just laugh and hangup. So go ahead and waste your time and fill out all those complaints as I did. I've tried to get a lawyer to sue them and they don't want the business as the fines are too small. Most of the calls are either for drugs or a money making business. I tell them if their money making business was so good they wouldn't be calling me that they would be working it.

I got a call from this number on my cell phone. I recognized the whole "Lower you interest rate" message from other similar messages I'd gotten before so I quickly pulled a porn site up on my computer (they're easy to find on Google), picked a random video, pushed "1" to be connected to an operator, and as soon as someone said "Hello" I turned up the speakers and held my phone up to them. Needless to say the customer service lady who answered didn't stay on the line long...LOL! I don't have any credit cards or loans so I don't need any of their help.
