When they call, ask them to wait a second (pause) them tell them the call is being recorded for whatever law enforcement you have. That should help. When they called me I told them I had no money and would need a public attorney and have gotten no calls since so that might help to.

i received the same message. I believe this is a scam. They say they are out of California.

This phone number is calling and harrassing me. I know it is a scam. This company is trying to get me to wire money to them. I dont have any debt and dont know why they are calling me day and night. Please help.

i also got a call from this number but before this they called from 508-901-9643 same person by the name Jeff Brown Indian or Asian accent very mean and threating said i was going to be arrested by tomorrow. also did not explain from where or for what he was calling. he said my name and my ss# was being investigated.

i got the same call and have been getting them for about 2 weeks now. they said the name of the attorneys off ice they were calling from and i cant remember it for the life of me. by law they have to give you a business id # name of company or office and employee number if they have one and they would not provide it for me. i dont know if they have called my place of employment or not but i will find out who they are throw and when i do i will let everyone know. the phone number is out of Florida, i know that much and i am still try to dig deeper.

Tell them that you don't know where or how to get a green dot card, but that you are willing to leave a brown paper sack of cash at a dropoff point at a place of their choosing.  Find out where they want it delivered and immediately notify the FBI, the FTC, and the local police both where you are at and where they want it delivered, and give them the circumstances of their call to you and the address and time they specified. Don't get anywhere near that place, and don't handle any money.

As a variation, you can say neither Green Dot nor Western Union will deal with you because of your credit as a reason for your having to use a cash dropoff point.  Also, you could try to get the local consumer reporter of a TV station near the dropoff point to film around there at the appropriate time.

Who knows? Maybe someone will be dumb enough to get caught this way.

Ditto to all the rest of you. The woman was rather rude, told me that my SS# was under investigation, and said that I'd taken out a loan and didn't even try to make a payment. When I tried to ask her what loan company and when, she couldn't answer. Her response was, "I will investigate this further and get back tomorrow." Next time she calls, I'm going to call her out and see what she does. They've left messages on my phone a couple of times. This is harassment. I want it stopped.

Called multiple times and left calls indicating pending legal action. Name was " Daniel Jackson" and very heavily Indian (India) accent with threating tone. Turning them into the AZ attorney generals office for telephone fraud.

They called me also just made a complaint to the FTC. Thry keep on calling they will call you at work..If you hang up they call back.

I really want them to call my workplace. They called me today on my cellphone with the same info. My name and ss number was being investigated and there would be a sherriff's deputy at my house within 45 minutes with a warrant for my arrest. blah blah blah. Well, I let them know that I was a paralegal and that what they are doing is illegal and there is nothing that I have done wrong. of course they hung up on me.

They called me this morning and said I was under investigation and that there will be a warrant out for my arrest. The thing is I am a paralegal and well I know what they are doing is illegal. They have the strong indian accent also. They hung up when I told them that I was a paralegal and what they were doing was illegal.

I got hung up after I said they weren't legit and they would send the sheriff to my place...Then they call again and kept questioning them and they said USA Cash Advance was their affiliate they were calling for and they own over 200 loans and stuff. I am not overdue on a loan or anything, so why the heck they are calling me I have no idea...but they do have all my info, which is a little scary.

I just got a call saying something about a loan that I have through USA Cash Advance, but I don't even have a loan through them. They said something about taking it to court. It's ridiculous. They called me and when I asked what it was about they hung up the first time. I don't understand why they are calling me from Florida when I live in Texas? Not to mention that if I do have a case against me, shouldn't I have been warned? I don't even know what it is about! They gave me the runaround.

I am also Recieving several calls of the same nature from various phone numbers. It is a scam and not even a well thought out one....lol.( so everyone in your office are foreigners). Get out of here.

This person keeps calling in regards to a legal matter. I gave no information to this person

I have received a number of calls from this number and another with the same thing. They man say he is an investigator and that my name and social security number is being investigated and that I need to contact them ASAP to discuss an urgent matter.  The names have been John Wright and Anthony Martin and they both have had a very strong Indian accent.  They have even been calling me at work and my supervisor got on the line the other day and told them not to call here any more because I couldn't take personal calls at work and they are still calling.  What can I do to stop this from happening!!!!

Yes I received the same call except they said it was against my name. I basically told the lady I had no payday loans out and then she hung up on me. Lol

These people have called me twice on friday and twice.today. The woman did have an indian accent. She started by saying that my ssi number was under investigation and there will be warrants issued. I flat told her she can talk to my lawyer and I hung up. She has left 2 messages today. I am turning them ofer to the attorney general and ftc. When I do find out where they are I will take them to court..i am going to have them arrested. I have gotten other calls like this one but from a man..every one  needs to get all the information they can about these people and shut them down. I am damn sure going to try.

Received several treating calls from this number, that he is Antonio Meland calling from Legal investigation
office regarding a legal matter with me and my social security number, I should not disregard this call and
contact him immediately at 7273794147. I received this type of call before from the same sounding person.
I told them I'd call the attorney General and report them as scammers, they hungup.

I keep getting these calls all day long..Melissa Velez, Jennifer Smith, Jordan Campbell and Juan Washington...all say that I am in big trouble...they want me to go get a green dot card put money on this card so that I can settle this debt out of court and to keep the sheriff from coming to arrest me...this is one big scam....any help from anyone as to what I can do to try to stop these idiots please help.....

they keep calling several times a day, they are so stupid because i am a bill collector and i know the laws, if anyone finds out the name of this collection agency i want to sue them, they saikd i was being arrested, i owed 9,000 and i would be in jail for 6 mos, they were mcoming to my house and employer, i saidthey were fraud and he hung up.....seriouslly this is a call center in india......like i take them seriously

Had the same problem as you. Heavy Indian accent. She said the same thing to me, I owe $9000 or a warrant for my arrest. When I called they didn't ask for my name or anything, just the number I got the call from. Total scammers. Just block the number. Can't do anything else.

I have received several calls from this number saying pretty much the same things as listed above. I also received a voicemail from them. Melissa Relez said she was calling from the legal investigation department. There was a lot of background noise during the calls. I could hear others talking like a call center or something. She had a heavy accent and I couldn't hardly understand her. She said that my SSN was under investigation over nonpayment of payday loans. I have not received any payday loans. I told her this. I spoke with 4 different people there and they all told me that there were 3 warrants out for my arrest. All 4 callers hung up on me when I questioned them. They did have my home address also. I want this stopped. Please find out who is behind this scheme.

Man I just had them call me also saying there is a legal matter involving my SSN. Payday loan and such. And then they said the sheriffs office will contact me and I will be arrested. Then they hung up. Lol idiots

I just received same call, I also got one last week. As soon as,u mention that you are going to report them, they hang up. I dont like the fact that they know where I live and my place of employment
