Called at 6:10 CST - I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number.  Caller hung up on third ring.

Call received 01-04-2008, 2:25pm in Ohio. Recorded message advised "auto warranty is expired". (Fraudulent!) I dialed 1. Male voice answered as "Warranty Service Center", and asked me for the make, model and year of my car. I replied by asking him for contact information: his company name and telephone number. He hung up on me.
I immediately dialed *69 and got the inbound calling number, then dialed *57 to register the call with our telco's security department for harassing/threatening calls.
Then I registered a complaint with the National Do Not Call web site.
I plan to follow up with local law enforcement, and possibly the FTC and local FBI office, if they'll take the case.
I may even contact my attorney to see if there is any civil action we can take.
Do Not Call means DO NOT CALL. PERIOD!!!!
This is still the United States of America.
Come on people: GET MAD!  GET ACTIVE!!  GET JUSTICE!!

Also on the DNC list, received call at noon stating that my extended warranty was set to expire. I listened to their pitch because my warranty has indeed expired. Although their claims to have sent multiple postcards is false. When I spoke with the salesman he laid out the options and transfered me to a manager to 'seal the deal'. When I said I would not give credit card information on a cold call and asked for contract info to be mail, things went down hill quickly. 'This is a limited time offer, it may be withdrawn by the time you get your paperwork', etc. Manager could give me no website information.
Called the local GM dealer, they said they had never heard of the company and would not recognize the warranty.
All in all just smelled fishy.

Received a call from 727-499-7881, today at 4:34 pm,CST.Caller hung up right before my answering machine picked up.I live in Minneapolis,MN.

Got a call from this number at 8:45 PM on 12/28, did not leave message!!

This number just called me, I didn't get to the phone in time to answer. Left no message. I *69'd, "Call did not go through". I called the number back and it said the number was no longer in service.  Some telemarkter trying to mask their identity, I guess.

Missed a call from this number at about 6 pm EST. Left no voicemail. Glad I found this site so I can ignore the next one!

This number called just now (09:28am Thurs. Dec. 27th) and hung up a millisecond before the answering machine kicked in. My location is in southern California.

Called us on 26th 6:50pm.

Three calls from this number. Answered the third call and got a recorded, hectoring female voice "warning" me that our auto warranty was about to expire which is untrue. She said several dire and ridiculous things, including stating that they had tried repeatedly to contact us by mail, also not true. I pushed "1" and got a really rude black guy who, when I asked why they called me since we're on the DNC list, said they took a poll and called the ugliest white women in America. How lame! He then hung up. Reporting them to DNC doesn't help. I've never had a response and our worthless congressmen still act like they've done something to help when the calls are becoming more and more frequent.

7:40pm they called on January 2nd 08. It took me a minute to get to the phone. When I did, who ever it was hung up as soon as I said "Hello". When I called back it was an answering machine that didn't ring at all when I called. Weird. I don't know anyone from Florida. I live in NY. Very strange to me. If I find out who it is, I will be sure to let everyone know though. A Google search turned up with nothing. Thanks!!!!!

I had just laid down to take a nap a few minutes ago when the phone rang.  Shot up out of bed and got to the phone within two or three rings and the they hung up before I could even read the caller ID.  This is the third call from an unknown number I've gotten TODAY, so much for being on the DNC list.

Called our number here in west Tennessee tonight (01/08/08).  We have an answering machine that picks up on the 4th ring....they let it ring three times and stopped.  Never saw this number before.

Rec'd a call at 7:36 pm PST and my caller ID said CLEARWATER, FL.  I didn't answer, they did not leave a message.  

I'm in Washington State.

727-499-7881  called at 7:57pm 01-09-08 northeast wisconsin  I was not at home and they didn't  leave a message, we are on the dnc list, and I always google unknown numbers, and I was led to this page.....I then called the number back, I got a voice mail message and I hung up.

Automated message telling me I need to extend my auto warranty.

Caller ID sez, Florida call. But the # is the same 727.499-7881. When my daughter was visiting she did pick up once & got some blah, bla bla about expire car warranty & then she hung up. What's going on here?

Getting these calls in Ashland, OR, on both the land line and the cell phone. "Warranty about to expire" is laughable because we have a new car with a six-year warranty on it. The calls keep coming 2-3 times a month. We're on the national no-call list. Are the authorities in Clearwater, Fla on this case?

Added them to my personal denial list, so I won't get them anymore but it is always annoying. I called the number my self and it was busy.

However, we are missing an oportunity here. I think the way we should handle this is to setup our own PREMIUM PAY service so that everytime one of these calls comes in we charge them per call. In that case then I don't mind offering my time if I am collecting say - $1,000 per call or more. In fact at that rate or higher I would just give out my number and say - please call me.

The DNC works only if the caller plays by the rules. I recently had a relative give out my number to avoid their bank calls. Even though I told the bank not to call me and gave them what info I did have on the person - they still called. So at that point I am looking at it this way - if you want to call me and ask me a question, then I have the right to charge for my time.

$1Mil / Available Time at Home = Rate. Seems reasonable to me. If enough of us start charging for our time - may they will stop calling and play by the rules? In ay event as I create this new revenue stream I may find I don't mind the calls...we will see.

Called around 8:14 Oregon time. Answered - dead air at other end.

This company has been calling my home for several months.  I have two phone lines and they call both.  I've requested from a live person to be removed from the Do Not Call List.  Today, the man yelled back "Shut Up" and he then hung up.  I've called and left several voicemail messages at this number to cease calling and put me on their DNC list.  I've contact the Pinellas County Sheriff Dept. in Florida.  He advised me to file a report with my local Sheriff.  I called the phone company (which is a subsidiary of Time Warner)and they cannot give out any information about this number until the receive a notice from our local Sheriff.  I am going to sue these nuts because of the threatening, repeatedly received phone calls from them.  The also call using the caller ID number of 352-357-4151.  This is a disconnected number which returns to innocent names.  Shouldn't be long until I nail them.

I've received about 3 calls from this number.  The last time I actually answered it and pressed (1) to talk to someone and it disconnected.  I called it back and got a voicemail.  They haven't called since.
