Called, no message

Just got a call from this number.  I lovingly blocked the call immediately afer. I know no one in Florida.  Sadly, the scammers will just move on to others & I will still get calls from other scammers.  Its just a vicious circle.

Incorrect.
However, it is evident that your understanding of the DNC list is sadly lacking.

The DNC list does not automatically block calls.  Instead, it provides a list of  "do not call" phone numbers to legitimate telemarketers who pay a fee for the list.

The DNC list exempts political callers, survey organizations,  charities and companies with preexisting business relationships, but these organizations might have their own, internal Do Not Call list (ask them).

The DNC list  is not effective against criminals, spammers and scammers, because those people do not subscribe to the DNC list, and do not care if you are on or off that list.
Its purpose is to stop calls from legitimate telemarketers, and it does a pretty good job at that.

I have had this number call me several times. They are probably using a machine dialer, so if I just ignore the call for 3 or 4 rings, they hang up. All such calls are just scams. The No Call list doesn't work because the fat lazy people in the government don't enforce any of the laws. They are just as bad as the blood suckers who make the actual calls.

No name - no message.  Problem solved.  I blocked the phone number on my iphone.  Just go to your recent calls, and click on the "i" on the phone number.  Scroll to the bottom and select "block this caller".  A popup will show - select "block contact".  Done.

I received a call from this number yesterday, wanting my account information for my visa, saying they were reducing my interest rate.  Told them I would not provide my account number.  I call my visa, who said this was was scam.  This company obtains your personal information and charges your account $890.00.  I too tried to call this number back.  Line busy. BEWARE!!!

Same thing happened to me! Called and left NO message and when I tried to call back, line was busy!
People be ware, these folks are peofessional, yes peofessional scam artist!! ?
Don't answer phone and list in your directory as SCAM to avoid from picking up call in the future!
DONT RESPOND TO ANY OF THEIR QUESTIONS! Be aware of strange e-mail messages. If uncertain call your Bank directly and DONT CLICK on any links on e-mail. It could even be a computer VIRUS!

You have got a great idea ?. I annotated the telephine# as SCAM!!
Will not answer!! I normally don't answer unrecognizable telephone numbers that are not listed in my directory. You all might do the same, forcing these scam artist out of business. By the way watch out for their e-mails indicating something wrong with your pay pal account or Bank account and then attempt to have you log on to a web-site that looks real but totally fake!!
They obviously want to obtain your ID and pin# ?

The same thing occurred to me! I called the number back and it was busy! I called EARLY this morning and phone just kept ringing! DONT respond to any questions. They will mostly likely try to obtain info from you. ASK them questions I stead but don't believe anything they might say or promise!

Got a call from this number as well - no one answered.  Called back and it was continually busy. Florida is full of scam artists and frauds.

They just want your CC number. Got called today, realized right away it was a scam, tried to keep the s*** head on the line for as long as I could. When I started asking questions Muhammed hung up.

Just got called from this number. I am in New York. Called back and no answer. Looked it up and found this site.

Just got this call at 4:02 CDT.  Didn't answer it until after 5 pm, and then the line was busy.  The call showed up on my cell number, which is on the Oklahoma and National Do Not Call lists.

I was called by this number about 3 hrs ago. I might have answered if I'd been near my cell phone, but missed it. thankfully.

I did not answer and caller hung up as soon as my answering machine picked up.

My my!!  "Heather" really IS busy!  She used to call my old cell phone relentlessly.  Now she's found my new cell number.  No doubt, it's a scam folks.  Whenever I get one of these calls, I don't answer, but save the number as a new contact labeled "Do Not Answer".  That way when they call I immediately see that it's a spam call.  Oh, and I'm on the Do Not Call list.  It doesn't do any good.

The correct way to handle these people is to first make sure your number is on the national do not call list:  https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx
Any solicitation calls you receive can then be reported to the FCC:
http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
If enough complaints are received, the FCC will investigate, and then shut down, the calls.

I just got a call and spoke with a guy whose accent was so thick, it was hard to tell what he was saying.  What I got from it is that he represents Chase, Bank of America and some other back, and was offering me a lower interest rate of 6% on the card with the highest balance.  Of course, he didn't know what card that was and he had no answer for me when I asked why he would represent so many companies.  My FICOis 750 and I can't even get 6% from BOA on personal request, which is why I just pay them off each month and have 0%.    No one is offering such low interest.
