This robo call from Pinellas county schools some how connected my cell phone for over 4 hours. I have prepay cell phone. The call was made at 6am on Sunday. Does not seem like a call from the school system would come at this time or day. I had to call net10 to get 4 hours credit back. I wonder if others are being cheated and don,t even know . I just happen to see a call had ended when I was getting ready to make a call.

This robo call from 727-588-6000 connected my cell phone for over 4 hours after I just checked a missed call. I have a prepay phone and it was not a call I made. When I did call to find out who called me at 6am on a Sunday, it was Pinellas county schools, that call was less than 1 min. I will report this number and hope others will also if they discover the minutes missing.  Seems like a scam, not really from Pinellas county schools.

Talked to the communications officer at pinellas county schools (https://www.pcsb.org) and she took care of it. No more calls.

Hope this helps anyone with the same issue.

I got 3 to 4 calls from this place every morning at 7am, for a week. Finally I called left a message with their Communications Officer who never called me back. Usually, when I get unknown calls, I don't respond or do anything. But there was a prompt that popped up on one of the calls after I waited a bit that said, "press # to remove your number from the list" then, it asks for confirmation by pressing 1 after. I was getting so many calls each day I gave it a shot. Like I said, I don't recommend doing this if you don't know who the caller is... I am hoping it will work.

These people call me regularly advising me about current important situations involving the school system in Pinellas County.  Unfortunately I live hundreds of miles away and have no children in that school system.  I actually spoke to a real person once and explained to them that I do not live in Florida.  She said she would remove me from the list but I still receive calls from that number.  It is quite annoying.

Yes, thank goodness for this site (and Google). Right after the first phone call I couldn't find any info on the number on the web, but now Google returned this site. They are pretty quick in updating their database.

This was a mistaken call from the Pinellas County School system---they selected the parent database insted of the employee database.

I am sure that they are really embarrassed about their mistake?

I'm not even a parent.. don't have any children but I am on one of my friends daughter's emergency contact list.. so I guess thats the reason they called me also?

You ARE the same person !   You have no children in the pinellas county school system, otherwise, you would have been concerned too. Did YOU get a message or did YOU SEND the messages ?

In addition to the two different phone calls I also received two emergency communication messages via email from PCSB.  Am sure they are related...however, having 3 kids in three Pinellas County schools, I get extremely anxious when I see "Emergency" in a school email.  I hope they figure it out soon.
