Got a call. No message was left.

I got a call from a person stating they had some new congressional approval to do an energy audit.  I arranged for the individual to drop by and we discussed what he could do.  I did not give them any personal information.  He basically made some recommendations as to what they might do to help conserve energy and then gave me a price quote for some ball bearing spray to make Air conditioners last longer and a quote to fix my insulation.  I took the info and discarded it because the price was outrageous but I could see how someone else might get wrapped up into the energy savings he expressed.
 I had someone call again a week later with the same information and I asked to be removed from their caller list and she became irate and hung up on me.   Ever since then I keeep getting calls with a valid caller id but every time I return the call it leads to a full voice mail box.   I try to search the number on the internet and it leads to a cell phone in Orlando.

I have also reported them to the FCC. I have told them numerous times that I am
on the do not call list, and these creeps don't seem to get it. I file a new complaint
every time they call. I think they are already looking into this 'company'. So, I can
with certainty that based on their harassing methods of contact and refusal to
follow federal telemarketing laws, that this 'Energy Conservation Group' is just
another scam.
My phone picks up on caller ID names even if the user never set it up. One of the
numbers they use is registered to a Pamela Nuzum. I think we should find her
home number and call her every night until she takes our numbers off the list.

A company called the, Energy Conservation Group has been harassing my family for several weeks now with Pre-Recorded phone messages from different phone lines.  Using ?Robo-Call? techniques, (pre-recorded messages and automated dialing machines) for telemarketing is illegal in the state of Florida.  They are breaking the law and making families miserable.  Please help me take action to stop these criminals.  If you are getting these calls; please, don?t just sit there and take it.  Take action and be heard.  No government agencies will act until enough people complain.

*  Note.  Make sure you clearly identify in each complaint that they are contacting you, ?illegally using Pre-Recorded messages?.

1.  Contact the Florida Division of Consumer Services and file a formal complaint.

You do not need to be on the Florida Do-Not-Call List to file the complaint.  You will need the phone numbers the Energy Conservation Group used to call you.  File a separate complaint against each phone number they used.

2.  Contact the Florida Attorney General?s office and file a formal complaint.  The Attorney General?s office informed me that the State of Florida will not take legal action until enough citizens complain.  As of 2 June 2010, they had 11 complaints against this company.

3.  Call your local Police Department and file a formal complaint.  Remember, they are violating the law and should be held accountable.  They will not stop until forced to.

These are bad people, please report them.  They want access to you and your home.  They will not provide you with a return phone number or address.  They will not tell you of their real intent on gaining access to your home.  

-  The Energy Conservation Group is not registered as a legal company in the State of Florida according to the Department of State Division of Corporations.

-  They are not listed with the phone company or identified in the Yellow pages.

-  They are not associated with the Florida Department of Energy, the Governor?s Energy Office or any government agency.

Let?s take action and stop them NOW!

I reported her to the National Do Not Call List and also called our local police and my phone provider.

Called from this cell phone using a recorded message.  I pressed 1 and asked her not to call again ( 3rd time I have asked not to be called.  I have been called everyday for the last 10 days.  I am on the Nat. Do Not Call list.  They seem to call from different cell phones.

you are correct, they call me every day-crooks I'm sure.  I tried to get my number removed but the woman started her pitch and deception.  I finally hung up...she called back from another area code and said everyone knows I'm an A..hole......thieves

This must be a telemarketing sweat-shop.  They seem to call with many different scams.

The most recent was for a non-existent "Florida company" called "Energy Conservation Group".  There is a company with a very similar name who's website complains that "Florida Energy Conservation Advisors" (a real Florida company known for running the KVAR Power Factor Correction device scam) is apparently using their name.

Florida Energy Conservation Advisors sell the KVAR Power Factor Correction device which is supposed to lower your power bill, but cannot possibly do that.

Don't fall for this scam and don't let scammers into your home!

Caller is advertising for home loans, using automated voice meassaging.  Not able to call back, as voice mailbox is always full.  No way to add number to do not call list as it is a cellular phone with no website. Receiving calls 6+ times a day, everyday.
