I was involved in Scientology over 30 years ago.  I never had anything bad to say about them until recently when I started getting tons of mail and repeated phone calls.  The phone calls started out nice enough but they won't take "no" for an answer.  I've been getting several calls a day.  I finally got caller ID and I won't even answer the phone if I don't know who it is.  Some of the calls are from numbers I recognize as Scientology but others are "caller unknown".  These people are CRAZY.

I've received over one hundred calls, these are from the Church of scientology they just wont quit.

I got 3 calls, they left messages but were trying to get hold of someone else.

This young women called claimed to be a scientologidst and ask for me.  She wanted to make sure they had my address correct.

After I hung up they called at least 7 times more.

I called forward the call to Time.

This is the Cult of Scientology Flag Service Organization. They call us too, six times in an hour last night. Call and write you congressman and senator and tell them you want their tax exempt status revoked! They operate as a business, not a religion. Then they will not be able to call people on the federal Do Not Call list without receiving heavy fines. You can also threaten legal-threat of an attorney is the best way to get off all their lists. As a matter of fact, their legal area is the one that can make the people using these lists get your name off immediately. Sad, but true. This is not a religion!

Sometime it showed as private call or out of area. This is typically how they operate, doesn't matter what time what day they just keep calling though we never answered all the calls. It based in Florida and we live in California and the calls sometime at 10PM!!! Now we hook the phone off and seems that stopped them - only a while maybe!

Yes, it is the Flag Org (Scientology). Imagine the U.S. Govt has the phone number for every single soldier in the military. You would figure they do right? And the govt would want to keep it updated. Well Flag Org has a number and address for everyone who is a member, and they have a LOT of members. They every so often verify numbers or contact info of these members. I only know because thats what they told me when I called them back to find out why they were calling me. I gave them my name, company name and my business number since I have done business with them before I figired I might be in the system already. Well the girl just put the number in and marked that Im not a member. Problem solved...no more calls.

Church of Scientology, is it? Yes, they just don't quit. I somehow ended up on their mailing list and I receive 3+ pieces of mail from them every week which I never open. They send DVDs, catalogues, letters. I actually answered the phone one time and told them that no, I didn't watch the DVD or have any questions because I throw it all away. They still call. It must cost them a fortune to keep this up--it's been going on for 2 years.

I just got 3 calls. When I answered it just echoed back my speech.

So I looked up the number on google and badabing, wouldn't you know, Clams.

Luckily I have Grand Central so I now have it just play "this phone number not in service" when they call.

I asked them to stop phoning me. I don't want Scientology mail or phone calls.

They won't stop calling me either. I've tried not answering, hoping they would get the hint, but that didn't work. I've told them that I was moving to Russia and they said that they were sorry for calling so late and they would put the new information into their system, but they just keep calling. I've tried being nice and I've tried being firm but nothing seems to work. I've set their numbers to my sci-fi ring tone so I can recognize the number but now they're calling me from 714-1-800-858541.
They're relentless!

I was a Scientologist 10 years ago. I have moved 3 times and changed my name since then and they still found me and won't stop calling. My husband managed to get the person's name "Victoria" and said she was calling from the Florida Dienetics Center. They have called every night this week at 9 or 10pm. My husband screams at them and tells them he is suing them but they still call. I have gotten calls from Toronto, California and Florida.

Watch OUT! This is Scientology! They don't stop calling. Have hundreds of operators calling for them. GOOD LUCK. Hope they didn't get your cell number.

I was a staff member at a Scientology mission and I know that these calls are made because of a written order from L Ron Hubbard (who is now deceased) to keep all contact information indefinitely and to keep on promoting.  There was nothing that I read anywhere in Hubbard's directives that said to stop contacting people who ask to not receive mail or phone calls.      There ARE instances when people will not receive anymore communication, but this means that the person is considered and then labeled as being suppressive or having entheta - which means they  cause more harm than good according to a list of characteristics of suppressive people compiled apparently by Hubbard. For more information about this, type in The "Cause of Suppression" to your search engine.   On a more personal note, I believe the phone callers and organization's leadership believe it is their "duty" to "clear the planet", and they have an arrogant blind spot and are ignoring their own suppressive behavior. Their blind spot reveals a lack of understanding of how their constant unwanted communication is negatively impacting others and their own cause, which can be a good thing but it is ruined by their bad PR.  Bulldozing over and ignoring truly felt requests from people to be respected; and mindlessly following and carrying out an order that is clearly creating bad public relations is truly suppressive to the gentle and creative human spirit.  To be constantly hounded damages the trust in others. With this in mind, when I was a staff member I did help remove people from the contact lists when I directly received a phone call as a receptionist, but those people were lucky to reach someone like me who studied public relations, who had personal courage and a respect for and trust in others, and who did not follow bad orders.   It is only when something like having Hubbard return from the dead to rewrite a merciful directive that says something like "When a person asks to not receive our information, humbly back off. We don't know everything," that is when things will start turning around and there will be more peace  on the planet.   Until then, people caught up in thinking they know better than the people they are calling will continue to ignorantly follow an old and bad order to persist in contacting everyone in their files regardless of the damage it is causing.

I have not had one from this # in a few months.  Now it's usually 323 580 5513 and 323 580 5520.

That was Sunday, late last night.  Today, it has only been once.  It goes on and on and it has been over a year.    323 580 5513 and 323 580 5520 and 323 960 3223 and 323 833 1154 and  727 467 5212.  In addition to these listed numbers, there are calls that come in with no user id or as "Call 1" . I used to answer them.  They said they were with scientology so I no longer answer unidentified calls.  (some of those unidentified calls nowadays are could be from a different brand  of harrassing a**hole company and not the scientology companies - I dont know for a fact.  
I am on the East coast, so it means that the 323 numbers are in a time zone three hours behind, and I have the honor of 10.30 pm and even later calls.  Sunday night is the most common time.  

This is a church?

over 30 years ago i was affiliated.  not one word to or from since, but in the last 2 weeks i am getting calls from 3 CoS orgs.  i have never had a bad thing to say about Scn, but that may take a turn now that they are using Troll tactics day and night.
Clue:  if the call is blocked, your call is not wanted.

i don't think they have a clue now . . . .

I have been called 6 or more times from this number:
727-683-9114.  I have answered the calls 4 times and each time
I have persistently told them to never call me back again.  The first
time I was put on hold for 15 minutes before they relented.  Every time
they promised to not call again but someone else calls claiming they have
a problem with their computer.  I yelled very loudly the last time saying
I don't care about the computers I don't want these calls and they can
tell the others in the office.  I have also threatened to take legal
action but the calls keep coming.

The called me twice today around 6:40 pm ET.  I didn't answer.

My information is below.  Please advise on what my options are.
I have put my number today on the donot call list but the site says
that charities are exempt.
