I'm in PA and have electric through PPL.  This kid calls me saying he's from consumer energy program.  He refused to tell me where he really was calling from.  Very pushy.  Kept spouting he didn't understand why I wouldn't want to save money by signing up.  He wanted my account number as well.  I said I'd call him back if i was interested.  The number he gave me was 888-520-4890.  That's how I found it was CES.  I used the number he gave me.  I have his name also.  He seemed very poorly composed almost as if he had a gun to his head to make as sale.  He also wanted permission to call back.  I forcefuly told him I don't enroll in anything unless I research it.  Glad I did.  Thanks!

This cult needs to be investigated for harrassment!

I tried the shorter website (  http://wh.gov/4Os   ) and it worked fine.

That website is "under maintenance", you cannot sign the petition.  Also, I live in Largo, very near Clearwater where CES and the Scientology building is located.  They're very close to each other.  This "company" has been posting jobs on Craigslist (Tampa Bay).  There are so many people out of work, I guess they'll (we'll) do just about anything.  Hell, last week I worked for $2/hr at a restaurant (made $11 in tips) just to get some gas money for work search!  It's not legal and I also had to wash dishes, but I can't go back.  It was total BS.  A friend of my son's referred me to CES, he has two customers that work there; said they're making good money too!  He didn't like my negativity about the place, but BS is BS!

This company is directly connected to the cult of scientology.

I am sick and tired of this cult calling me at all hours, sending me their bat s**t crazy promo, and showing up at my doorstep unannounced.

If you are fed up as well, then consider signing a petition that has just been put up at the US Whitehouse website. The petition is to call for the investigation by a Special Prosecutor into why the FBI/ Justice Dept/IRS have failed to investigate and prosecute Scientology - when over 300+ formal complaints have been submitted to the FBI.

This is quick and easy, and takes only 5 minutes. Only your first name and last initial will show up on the petition. There are already nearly 1000 signatures, and it was started only 3 days ago. We need 5000 signatures by October 24, 2011 for the President to initiate an inquiry. Here is the website:

Happy Gilmore,

You forgot to mention that you are a Scientologist, pretending to be a satisfied customer.

This is a complaints board, why are you coming here just to say good things......unless you're really here for damage control.

So go elsewhere and peddle your kool-aid.

This company is affiliated with W.I.S.E. (World Institute of Scientology Enterprises) - their main push will be to have you "join" the cult of Scientology, and for you to pay thousands of dollars for the classes/counseling.

If you don't join, they may find some reason to fire you......or you will probably be made "uncomfortable" enough to quit.

There have been several lawsuits against businesses that have tried to force employees to take classes in Scientology.

It's an aweome jester? LOL What an innovative albeit illiterate way to describe the scientology SCAM. The fact that this "company" even offer training in the scientology SCAM raises all kinds of flags. Run away run far away.

Awesome jester inded LOL. Maybe you should get an education so you would know better than to fall for this crap. Fortunately, many of the potential victims you reach on the phone have you figured out, not enough of them though otherwise you would all be living in cardboard boxes like you deserve.

And don't visit the website --- NEVER VISIT SCAMMER WEBSITES!

Looks like a the previous post is from a disgruntle employee. CES is a great company. They never ?force? employee?s to take Scientology classes. It is optional and an awesome jester to help employees improve their life style. CES is an legitimate company that has been in business for over 10 years. The idea that they set their own building on fire is ridiculous! If you want to know what the company is really about visit the website.

they say they save you money by purchasing the energy from the open market at a lower price and put you in a variavle rate and it's start on yor second billing cycle after they contacted you ... after 6 months your bill will go up the roof ...  a friend of mine worked there and explain this to me however she also mention that you have to sign a paper stating that you wont provide information about the comapny to none else .... weird why wouldn't you be proud of what you do and be happy explainning people what your company it's all about ... if this is real and really saves you money why hide .

I used to work for an Enegry company and it is true that all they can really do with your account number is pay your bills.  It may be annoying but I don't think it's a hoax.

I work at CES.  We are simply trying to do customers a service by calling and renewing your contract, or, in other cases, trying to get you a better rate.  The only thing we can do with your electricity account number is pay your bills, you can't get your identity stolen that way.

A man called and asked for Sue Stone. He said he was from First Choice Power. I told him here was no one by that name here and that he had dialed a wrong number. He told me that she had given him my number for him to call her there.

Got a call from this number on my cell, IMMEDIATELY after a call from 727-748-1520 on my work phone. The automated answer is "Hello, you have reached Customer Service, if you are calling for (several power companies) please press...."  when I pressed the number for my power company, it was answered by a person who said he wanted to renew my price protection plan, and asked if I had my account number handy. I told him that if I were going to give out any of that information, I'd do it by calling my electric company's main customer service line. He told me "that's your choice, this is only a courtesy call because your price plan is expiring."

I called my power company and the rep there said that it was inappropriate to have asked for my account number without identifying by my name first. I "could have been" a hoax.

Called and asked for me by name so my wife hands the phone to me and a woman  starts telling me in a hurried voice that she is calling to help me renew my electrical contract.

I told her I would look into it and then hung up before she could reply.

The caller ID only said "Energy", but when I did a search for the phone number it turned out to be a company from Florida named, "consumer energy solutions".  Not the company I use in Texas.

Called today at 9:00 am. They asked if I was using Enbridge gas. I told them that they woke me up as I work a night shift. I told her before she did her sales pitch to put me on their do not call list. The funny thing is that I've already had calls from Enbridge and also told them to put me on their do not call list.
