caller interested in buying land I own in florida at a above normal price for these hard economic times..I'm not sure about this guy

Located in Georgia and received a call from this number as well.  Wanting to know if I was interested in selling a tract in GA.  Told them had not considered it, but make me an offer.  Have not received a call back.

This is a different Paul then listed above.  I am confused/worried now, I found this page by accident.  I spoke with a man from this company that seemed very helpful.  He took the time to review actual (I checked) comparable sales and current MLS listings from the area I (also Panama Beach area) own in.  Establishing an apropriate asking price seems like a priority.  I am close to signing an agreement to have them advertise my property on their site.  Yes; there is an up front fee...but it would cost money to advertise myself too.  Does anyone actually know if this is really a scam?  Has anyone actually done business with them?  I am feeling more hesitant than I was previously.

Caller ID here says "USLandService" (U.S. Land Service). Figured it meant land line. Guess not based on what is being shared here.

I'd advise everyone to try turning this phone number in to local law enforcement because this is the kind of thing where people lose everything they ever owned. Some have even lost their lives under those circumstances. The media is full of those kinds of stories, especially right now.

Sadly won't be the last of this kind of thing. Predators come out of the wood work during times like these.

Paul, I got one of those calls just now and looked the number up. That's how I found YOU. Did they give you an offer based on its worth or the economy hoping you would be desperate to sell??
