Tese folks keep calling and asking for my wife.  When I ask who is calling they just say, "It is a courtesy call."  They never give a reason for the call.

I am on the Do Not Call Registry.  I have no prior relationship with this group.  I think they are trying to bypass the law by pretending to be a charity.  I refuse to answer calls that are unidentified.

The keep calling me!  I told the man to remove me from your list and he replied "Fine, then why don't you go and remove the fireman's number and that paramedics from your list".

I, TOO, AM GETTING CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER BUT SINCE I SCREEN MY CALLS I DON'T ANSWER IT.  MY LATE HUSBAND WAS A POLICE OFFICER IN CONNECTICUT AND HE WOULD NEVER DONATE TO ANY POLICE DEPT. WHO USED PROFESSIONAL CALLERS ASKING FOR DONATIONS.

They just keep calling for the last few weeks.  We don't pick up and they don't leave a message.  Sounds like one big scam when reading eeryone else's post.  Why are places like this allowed to get away with this?  The government needs to have a "do not call" list instituted for charities also!!!  I give to the charity's that I feel comfortable with, and would never give to a cold call not knowing how valid the organization is.

Someone from this number keeps calling incessantly.  They never leave a message and do not speak when I answer the call.

I JUST RECEIVED ANOTHER CALL FROM 732-477-0197 AND SPOKE WITH A BRIAN.  HE SAID HE WAS CALLED FOR VIET NAM VETERANS.  I TOLD HIM I COULDN'T AFFORD TO GIVE AND REQUESTED HE TAKE ME OFF HIS CALL LIST.  THIS NUMBER SEEMS TO BE A PROFESSIONAL CALL CENTER GETTING THE MAJOR PORTION OF WHATEVER YOU DONATE.  WHOEVER THEY CALL FOR GETS VERY LITTLE.  NO ONE SHOULD BE GIVING.  THERE ARE TOO MANY TRUE ORGANIZATIONS YOU CAN DONETE TO.

Calls from 8 in the morning until late at night. They're pests! I don't answer!

have called asking for moneny repeatedly. We have advised we are not interested they continue to call. They are supposedely an illegitimate company. Please stop them from harrassing us and others!

i got a call and they said i had agreed to send in a donation, but never did..i didn't remember it but since i do send donations to various things, i thought i must have forgotten it..i said i would mail it in but he insisted that i had to do it that night because their books were going to close and i foolishly gave them all my check info...they asked how the names on the check appeared and i didn't realize until i hung up that no one had ever asked for this info before, so i tried calling them back and no one will answer...i tried many many times...and still no answer...i am going to have to cancel my bank account and start a whole new one...don't get taken in by these people..it's most definitely a scam.

They called and wanted to speak to my husband. I asked who was calling and he said his name. I asked what it was in reference to and he said he wanted to thank my husband. I asked what matter this was concerning and he said he didn't want to get into with me.
He called tonight again. I asked who and what he wanted. I said I would pass it onto my husband. He said " Lady I don't want to get into a hassle with you." I told him if he couldn't give me the message then I didn't want him to call ever again.  
Let's see if he calls back.  Next time I will report it to the police as a harassment phone call.

I get a call from this number every day about the same time betwen 5 and 6 pm.  I do not pick up the phone since it's not a number i recognize.

These calls come more and more.  It annoys me when they don't leave a message.  This number has called twice now... asks for my husband, and when I say he's not available they hang up.  I ask who is calling and get ignored.  I am filing a complaint, especially since we've been on the do not call list since it's started!

This guy called several times and would not speak to my husband. He called again and this time told me he wanted to remind me of a $35. pledge I had made for the fight on terriorism. That they were calling back all of the people who did not send their pledges and asking them to now do it by credit card.
I told him that I never pledge $35 because I can't afford it. He told me they have it written down and have a recording of me saying so. I said I still did not believe I would say that but that my husband was out of work and I couldn't do it. Also told him that quite frankly this conversation was becoming quite embarrasing for me. He says "I spoke to 79 people in the last few hours who "say" they are having a hard time too, but they managed to give the minimum of $15". Kept pushing for me to give him a credit card number, so I told him I didn't have one.
When my husband heard what I was going through he started screaming for me to hang up, how dare he harrass us for money we don't have. I knew something was not right about this.
This guy whoever he is is very obnoxious and pushy.  Be careful of this one!!

I got a call from this number, a fundraiser for some Police Association.

Guy:  You pledged $15 last March to our organization, and as we wrap up the year, we're hoping that everyone who pledged will make good on their commitment.

Me:  Um, yeah, you have incorrect information, we have a policy of not making pledges over the phone.  People are welcome to send us information which we can review and do our research before deciding, but making pledges over the phone is not a effective way of determining our charitable donations.

Guy:  Well, we screen people pretty carefully so we don't send packets to a.s.s.h.o.l.e.s.

Me:  <what the heck, did this guy just call me an .... ????>  Right, you have a nice day now.  <click>

when ever this happens to you just hang up the phone.this is a scam.

I, too, have gotten these calls- they have called twice in the past two days.  My son answered the first one and told me that they asked for me by name.  When I came to the phone, no one was there.  Same thing on the second call.  I, too, am a little worried b/c my number is unlisted and I am on the Do Not Call list.  Any suggestions?

Upon calling Verizon regarding the same issue as everyone is experiencing i was advised to call FCC (Federal Communications Commission) 888.225.5322 option #4 and file a complaint.

My wife received a call from a "Steven Bucci" with the "we are checking our records and haven't received your donation yet..." story.  Then he proceeded to tell her they accept credit card donations and asked for hers.  She thankfully said no way and he hung up.  Double checked our number and it has been on the Do Not Call Registry since July of 08.  Just finished the complaint.  Also.... the call came in at 8:47 pm from New Librty Prop.

Received the same type of SCAM call from both 732-477-0197, and 732-477-8197,  "lance" would not speak to my wife, wanted to remind me of an earleir $20 pledge made to the Breast Cancer Relief. He immediatley hung up after I told him it was in the mail. Complaints were filed with the FCC 888-225-5322, option 4, and DONOTCALL.GOV. The numbers are Verizon land lines located in Point Pleasant NJ, registered to New Liberty Prop

Has been calling several times a day for the last week.  I call back no one answers.  How do I get off this list as I am on the do not call list?

New Liberty Prop (732)477-0197, Land line, Verizon from Point Pleasant, NJ. They never leave a message and they call constantly.  Even when I answer, they hang up.

Same complaints from me. I have filed a complaint with FCC that this number is literally harassing me.

They have called several times but today they finally spoke and requested a donation for the pedofile section of the police department. I am calling the police and report them.

Just called me...well they were looking for my husband.  But the lady spoke to me.  She said they were from the Police Chief's Association against Pedophiles.  I told them I couldn't donate....she said not even $15? I said no I am sorry...the hung up.
