What scamming jerks!  I have been dealing with customer service people all week because I just got married and my name is changing.  I wasn't paying enough attention when they called (I thought it was my cc company calling me back to confirm something I told them previously), so I gave them my cc number when they asked for it.  Then they started saying a bunch of nonsense and I realized I'd been had!  I called my cc company right after they hung up on me for asking too many questions and reported it to their fraud department.

It's too bad we can't do anything more about it.  I hope everyone else pays more attention than me in the future!!

Unfortunately we can't do anything about these calls.  Most of them originate out of the country and the telemarketing laws do not apply.  I've learned not to answer calls with numbers I do not recognize because many of these calls originate from random digit dialing systems.  


One more thing, you not see an exchange (XXX-123-XXX) with 000.  They are not used by any of the telephone companies because pushing "0" will connect you to an operator.

Just received a call, went through the "press 9" rigamarole, and talked to some heavily-accented person who spelled his last name as "Squid" or something. I asked what his supervisor's name was. He said "Linda." I asked for "Linda's" last name, Squid said he didn't know her last name. I remarked that that seemed very odd. Squid then said her last name, but I didn't catch it. I asked Squid what the name of his company was, he said "Card Member Services." Where was it located? Atlanta. Address? Squid didn't know the address. I was about to ask Squid how he got to work if he didn't know his own employer's address, but the connection was lost.

I wonder if there can't be some sort of law passed about this, to put these boiler rooms out of business. But they're probably all "job creators" or something, so our faultless elected officials can't touch them.

Just got a call from this obvious scam number (000 prefex!) and they never leave a message.

I have kaspersky security on my phone, when i get these calls I ad them to my black list.I as well have registered with do not call registry, it only helps with local telemarketers, not scamming jerkoffs.

I have put my phone number with donotcall.gov so you better stop calling me or you will get into trouble.  I will be sure you are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

This is a hoax.  i get calls all the time from them.  no one there when answered.

got call to discuss credit cards i do not have.  i have received calls from this place before and was also hung up on when i asked to be removed.  in the future i am going to play along and just give a bunch of false info, they will waste more time plugging in the random numbers i give them trying to run their scam then it will take me to rattle them off.  ...."if you were a Hindu i could aim for the dot."  <>*<>  ;)

I got a call from this number and pushed 9 to speak with the card service office.  They could not tell me what card this was concerning, other than Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.  I told them if they could not tell me what card this was concerning then take me off the calling list now and they hung up.

Recieved call from this number on my cell. My # is listed with the national do not call list. no message was left.

2nd time getting this call. 2nd time I've asked to be removed and both times they just hang up! Getting kinda pissed!!

I have been on Washington State " DO Not Call List" since 2003 & Oregon State since 2006 to present. idoesn't seem to phase the telemarketing calls I get every day on my cell.

I got a call from this number also. No mssg left

Automated message telling me I can avoid a rate increase on my credit cards, and press 9 to find out how. I don't have any credit cards.  I pressed 9 and a man with a very strong Indian accent asked me if I was calling to inquire about avoiding the increase in my interest rate. I said, "No, I am calling to ask you to remove my - " and and at that point, the line went dead, so I could not complete my request to be removed from their calling list.

Unknown caller wanted to discuss my credit card balance.

Called me at 10 am no message, unable to return call. booo.
