Just received a call from this #. Had better sense not to answer since the second set of three #s were zeros.

Denver dude, sorry I didn't read your post before seeing the 000 in this number. Would have loved to have wasted their time. Of course, when I asked to be removed from their call list is when the phone went silent.

Called my cell phone. I hate that. I don't answer or call back if I can't get a number to come up on computer first.

Just got another one of these calls again (I've had dozens over the past couple of years), but the message has been slightly changed to make it more believable. But, basically, it's the same bull it has always been. You can tell it's not real because they don't say which credit card they represent, just "your credit card." Don't get caught!

since I have this as my message my soliciting calls are only 1/4 of what I used to get....give it a try, most telemarketers hang up once they hear this

Left a message of half a word I couldn't make out. Caller ID says "name unavailable".

Purports to lower credit card interest rate. Asking to be put on "do not call list" does no good.

This is a criminal organization probably in Africa. Purports to lower credit card interest rate. Asking to be put on "do not call list" does no good. Best tactic is to have some fun by wasting their time, if you have the time to do it. Will ask what your balance is, pick a number between $5000 and $10,000. that will make them think they have a big fish on the line. Talk slowly, give a phony name, ask dumb questions. Solicitor will ask for name and phone # of your credit card issuer. Take a long time to "get your wallet" to "get the info" Make up a number but write it down, as solicitor will chek back with you after he lerns the number is not the bank you say it is. Act like you have alzheimer's. Make up a credit card number that seems valid . Pretend to answer other calls coming in. ANything to waste time. After 10 minutes of this, say you must fo to the bathroom and put the phone down and don't pick it up again for 5 to 10 minutes. Make it up as you go and HAVE SOME FUN WITH THEM.
