He said his name was Mike, and asked for my husband by name.  I asked where he was calling from and he said, "a f***ing telephone, where most people call from" and asked who he was affiliated with, and he said, "Oh my God, f***ing a**hole."  Then he hung up.

This number has called several times, the most recent being today. The first time a man was on the other line, he said some very rude things to my mother, and then to myself as well. We answered it a couple of times after to try to report the number, however no one was ever on the line after that first call. We just don't answer when this number comes up on caller ID anymore.

I got a few hang up calls from this number too.
Caller ID shows "Virginia" as the callers name, which could be the state of Virginia because we live near VA.

I would like to know who this number belongs to.- They asked for my husband by name then hung up when I told them he was not home and asked who was calling.

I don't have caller ID at all but today, somebody ASKED for me specifically  by first name and when I said 'speaking' the other person HANGS UP on me..It gets me worried..I mean, what do these ppl want and will they do something??  

Its sucks that I don't even know how to find out what the number is etc and who's calling etc..

Man called and asked for my husband by name when my daughter picked up.  She handed me the phone and he hung up.  I redialed the number, hitting call back on my phone and a woman picked up and said she did not call.  I told her I hit redial and somebody DID call.  she then asked someone there if anyone had called and she told me no, nobody had called.  I then looked up this number on the internet and I see that someone from this number calls people all the time and asks for a husband or a wife by name, then hangs up.  I have reported this number to the Do Not Call complaints as well.

i received a call from this number this morning.  caller asked for me by my first name and when i said it was me, they hung up.  a little worrisome.

I have gotten the same calls from this number. They ask for my husband and then hang up.   Who is this "jerk" and how do I get him (them) to stop calling?

This is the 3rd call from 757-042-8598  the first two times they hung up, the last time which was last evening they said my wifes name and hung up...will report this to authorities

I received a call from this number also on Friday 1/22/10 @ approx 0850 a.m.  He asked to speak with with someone at the residents.  When I attepted on getting more information from this so called "Frank" as he stated, he began making statements referencing how "you" F....in immigrants jump the border and take "our" American dollar.  This is/was a VERY disturbing call.  When I called my phone company, they provided me a number to call 1-800-348-8727 to report this type of call.  I then called the number which explained what steps to take.  I told myself not to let it get to me, but it was such "ugly" language that this "Frank" person was using that if I do get a call from this number again I will pursue and take further action.  I am just thankful that I am not a bitter person such as as this guy "Frank".  I will attempt to use the (*57) and hopefully trace this number 1-757-042-8598.

I just got a call from this number.  A zero as the first number of the prefix alerted me that this was not a legitimate call (0 and 1 are invalid as the first number in the phone numbers prefix, see  Wikipedia's explanation (prefix is referred to as 'Central office (exchange) code') http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_Numbering_Plan#Current_system

If anyone has access to call trace (*57), you phone company may be able to trace it for you (for some reason Vonage does not seem to offer this option).

I received a phone call from 757-042-8598 on 1/14 at 12:59pm.  A man asked to speak to my relative.  I asked who was calling and he started saying obscene and threating comments like he would call me at 4:00 in the morning.  He also said I couldn't do anything about it.  Can someone help me find this location of this number?

Ok this is the 2nd time i have recieved this call from the same person.
Details: Callers name "Mike" Time of call 6:04pm EST on 1/12/2010.

Call is as follows:
I answer the phone and say politely Hello?...Mike:Can I speak to Antoinette?
Who's calling please? Mike: Mike!.....Me:Mike Who? ....Mike:What do you mean?, Mike Who? ---> Me: What do you mean? What do I mean? Mike: Just put Antoinette on the phone dammit! Me: CLICK!!!

This is really pissing me off and I want to find out who and where this is coming from.

So frustrating.  They hung up as soon as I said no to a donatoion and when I tried to call bac the number is disconnected.

Got a phone call Monday at 11:07 he asked for my husband's name. I told him that my husband wasn't there and he hung up before I could inquire. I have dealt with this same thing in the past except they wanted my name. I finally asked to speak to supervisor and demanded he remove my name...he told me that "he would try", so I asked him straight out specifically, "are you telling me that after I have asked you to remove my name from your database you're telling me that you are refusing me?" Since that call I have not received one call for me from this number.  Looks like we are going to have to do that for my husband.

Got the same call -
Guy called at 10a on a sunday asking for my wife by first name.  
I asked who it was and he said Bruce.
I asked what it was about and he asked if my wife was home.  I said yes, and what is it about, and he said it was a 'Civil matter'.  I asked him what this 'Civil matter' was and he said 'I dont know, maybe you should go back to school'.  I laughed and said 'Thats pretty obnoxioux there Bruce - What is this civil matter about.' he hung up.

Got a call , ask for husband by name then hung up when i said he wasnt here  tried to call back only get busy signal.
