I keep getting calls from 757.209.2025, which is registered to Asset Acceptance. I haven't answered because I didn't recognize the number and don't know anyone from that area code. When I called the company's 800 # (from a landline), the woman who answered told me that neither my name or cell phone number was in their database. (I was VERY leery about giving her my name.)

There are no outstanding debts on my credit report, and the only ones I have ever had were paid off over 15 years ago. Whatever this company is up to is shady, at best.

I get calls all the time from these leeches for some scumbag named Irena Petric who I don't even know. I told them to take me off their list but they continue to call.  Now I just forward the call to the Federal Trade Commission at 1-888-382-1222.  I do this through my Comcast phone manager. You can probably do this through whatever phone company you have as well.  I also plan to forward the calls to my state Senators or Congressmans phone number.  Makes me laugh just thinking about it.

They call with no message, of course. I do not own anyone anything. My credit is nearly perfect.

So, they are just calling to scam you out of some coins. The business model is to harass people and find someone who will pay them some money. It's basically a pan handler business.

DO NOT ANSWER the phone or interact with them at all. Don't expect them to follow any rules at all. I.e, calling unlisted numbers, numbers on the "do not call" list, cell phones, businesses, etc. It's all robo calling anyway. A computer obtains phone numbers from other collectors or from just randomly calling numbers.

They may not EVER go away. Just don't worry about it. Think of it as a someone who's calling your number to test if your phone works :)

I think this is one reason our country is going downhill...allowing financial predators like this a chance to rampage across the country, making illegal phone calls with seeming impunity.

Just amazing how they get away with it - but don't let them fool you...you do not legally owe any money past the statute of limitations, and it must be made illegal to allow filthy predator scam artists like these an opportunity to prey on the weak and vulnerable in society.

This massive boiler room operation needs to be shut down by the authorities and as soon as possible...and the owners prosecuted, heavily fined for all the profit they made off this scam operation throughout the years, plus penalties and imprisonment - they must not be allowed to go scot free.

No answer. Other than harassment, I can't figure out how these calls help collect money. If they won't speak to a live person it's a given they wouldn't leave a VM.

There are two things I have done:

1.  My cell is with Verizon and I can access my account online or call Cust Support to have any number (I think five numbers max at a time) blocked for 60 days. Caller apparently hears the msg "... the party you are calling is unavailable.). I would guess other carriers have a similar feature.

2. This idea may require the features of a Droid phone. I have created a Contact called JUNK. Any time I receive an unwanted call I add that phone number to JUNK. Droid Contacts also allows me to specify that all calls (for any given Contact) be sent to Voice Mail. So any second call is dispatched to Voice Mail. So far, no one has left a message.

Seems to be a false caller

Calls me at least 3x in a row within 10 mins of each other and doesn't leave me any voice mags stop calling me!

call my number everyday of the week, same times each day - multiple times, this is in conjunction with the number 703-656-9845 which is listed as Manassas, VA. I know when they are calling cause it is the exact same time each day, no message left, nobody on the line if I answer it... makes me laugh

Representatives from # 757-209-2019 keep calling my home# which is on the federal FCC DO NOT CALL LIST.

If you call them back, tell them your name, that you don't know the person they're looking for, and use the phrase "cease and desist"  when telling them to stop calling; they will stop calling.  If they don't stop after that, you can take legal action against them.

If you can't afford something, don't buy it!!! I don't care how old the debt it, if its yours because you once bought something you never paid for, pay it! And STOP giving collections agencies random numbers because sometimes its MY number. I pay my bills and shouldn't have to deal with debt collectors waking me up on weekends. This is the 4th debt collection agency calling me for someone else's debt. Jeannine Hawk - you are a bad and irresponsible person. Pay your bills. Don't give out my number as yours. I called them back and told them my name and that I'm the only person at this number and do not know Jeannine Hawk. They were not pushy, they thanked me for the call. Hopefully they will not call again.

Call came in at 4:57pm on Tuesday 9/22/09 No one spoke when I answered. Caller kept phone open for 45 seconds silent. When I used redial mecanized operator said the number was not in service.

Do not continue to call my number I don't know what kind of debt your trying to collect but I have none. And  don't call in the morning when my family is asleep it will not be tolerated.

They keep calling my number asking for someone I do not know.  The person they are asking for used to own the house I now own.  I don't know her so I can't help them, but they keep calling here. Very annoying.

this number keeps calling my elderly grandfather and hanging up on him it is ridiculous and it needs to stop.

These people from Asset Acceptance call our office anywhere from 6 to 7 times a day.  Most of the time there is no one on the line - so I really do not understand why they even waste their time.  I have reported them on numerous occasions.  Nothing stops them - they are the most unprofessional company I have seen or heard of in my life.  I would suggest going to the Do Not Call Registry and report them every single time they call.  You will need the date and time of call.

They call at my job multiple times but only leave a message once. I have some debt from helping my family, everybody lost their job and from a 5 people's income went down to 2 so my sister and I hat to pay the rent and every utility, them my mom got sick and had a super expensive operation she almost die; i tell you when it rains it pours. I just want for my family to get a job so things get back to normal, I want to pay my debts but rent, food, electricity and gas come first; I really feel bad for not bein able to pay, my credit is ruined and i won't be able to ever own a home ot buy a new car =(.

Call and bog down their customer service department (don't use you phone).  They will answer, then use a goofy voice to piss them off.  My favorite was the Buffalo Bob voice from Silence of the Lambs.  Hilarious and creepy but it gets the job done!

They Keep calling me and they dont leave messages. They once left a message but it said "I need to be in contact w/  Matt (my dad)." And they call every single day and ima Tell u it gets flippin annoying.
