GOT A VERY UNUSUAL PHONE CALL FROM THIS PERSON NAMED MR ADAIR CLAIMING TO BE AN INVESTIGATOR AND WANTING TO GET A STATEMENT FROM A FAMILY MEMBER.  HE THEN WENT ON TO ACCUSE US OF BEING "SUSPICIOUS" BECAUSE WE WOULD NOT GIVE HIM ANY INFORMATION.  WHEN WE ASKED WHICH COMPANY OR CREDIT CARD COMPANY HE REPRESENTED, HE BECAME EXTREMELY IRRATE.  TRIED TO SCARE US BY SUGGESTING THAT WE CONTACT THE FBI OR ATTORNEY GENERAL OF WHICH WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO AFFILIATIONS WITH.  I CALLED HIM BACK AND TOLD HIM HE WAS WASTING HIS BREATH AND SUGGESTED HE GET A "REAL" JOB!!!

I RECIEVED A SIMLIAR CALL BUT THE SAME GUY WAS NICE AND HELP ME WITH A FEW ISSUES WITH A 1099C FILING.THIS WAS PRBOBALY THE SAME GUY.THE IMPRESSION I RECIEVED HE WAS PROFESSIONAL AND LOOK UP HIS LICENSE # HE WAS LIGITMATE.

YES I RECIEVED A CALL FROM THIS # FROM A MR. ADAIR HE HELPED OUT A FEW ISSUES FROM A CREDITOR THAT SUPPOSLY WAS FILING A 1099C.I CONTACTED THE IRS THERE IS SUCH THING AS A 1099C WHICH REFERS TO FORGIVIN DEBT.I RESEARCED HIS CO. AND THEY ARE A LICENSED CO.I THOUGHT THEY WERE A SCAM THATS WHAT I WROTE IN A PREVIOUS MESS IN 1800 NOTES.AFTER THEY SENT ME A LETTER FOUND OUT THEY WERE LETGIT..TONY

They have called under several different numbers to several people who know me.  They say it's concerning a legal matter, but I have received nothing in the mail nor received calls myself from them.  They found my brother, my parents, my landlord, a friend that I have never lived with or used as a reference... it's pretty weird.
They say their name is CC & Associates and they leave case numbers, saying it's a legal matter.  It has to be phishing... there is no real company that would behave in this manner.  When you call the callback number, they never pick up, likely hoping that you will blurt out some personal information on the message.  I refuse to play games.  If there really is a lawsuit filed against me, I would get notice of that in the mail.  If they are smart enough to find an old friend in a different city, plus my brother's brand new house number... I think they can find my address......which I have lived at now for four years.  I'm starting to get p___ed off, though.

A young white professional female called with the inquiry of someone unknown to me.   Then she proceeded to say I lived with this person in an apartment.  The problem was the person lives in the apartment now and I had lived there thirty years ago, not at the same time.  I continued to assure her I did not know this person and that I didn't live in that apartment, finally she acted satisfied with my response.  After thinking about I called her number back and she was unwilling to tell me how she had my personal information when she was looking for someone I didn't know.   She also wouldn't say what company she worked for.  I believe I had my private information invaded.  I damn sure wasn't who they were looking for and I am sure many people lived in that apartment in a thirty year period.  She assured me my number had been removed from this person account.   Evidntally a pfishing trip for this young lady.  Who keeps records of what apartment people lived in thirty years ago?  IRS, Social Security, so I am afraid these people are invading a lot of personal information about people they have not got a contract with.  Yeah, I lived in that apartment thirty years ago.  How did they find that out and why are they looking for me when I am not who they are searching for?  

No threats but very rude and intrusive. They also had to much information about me that they should not have had. Definitely an invasion of privacy. If they could just look for the person they are searching for would be a much better thing and accomplish more for them and whoever they work for.  I am glad I am off their calling list.  Strange how it went from me living with the person to me being on a calling list.  I found the guys address with one search on the white pages on the internet, he doesn't live in my old apartment, not now anyways.  I thought I was computer iliterate.
