I am getting 4 to 5 calls a week from operation smile for months now.  They do not leave a message, they hang up and just keep calling....The last number they called us from is 757 743-1986.

Portfolio Recovery Associates are going to be profiled tonight on NBC at 10pm EST. The owners have felony convictions! Their tactics are detestable.

caller id said Operation Smile but it was really Portfolio Recovery Associates {debt collector} trying to collect on a 15 year old debt of my husband. Pretty shady to use the name of such a great charity.

Called, asking for someone who is a relative but lives in another state.  Caller was very rude and would not say why he was asking for this person, he just kept demanding the telephone number.  I hung up on him.

didnt answer saw as missed call searched  number to Norfolk Va maybe a home tried to return call but number was busy...

Caller ID said "Operation Smile" and 757-321-3279. I answered, had to say hello several times. Lady asked if I were [my first name] and I said yes.  She said she was "Anna" calling from Portfolio Recovery Associates about a [I forget the word ... "file" or "case"?] they have in my name.  She never did mention or verify a last name.  I said "I don't know you and don't have any business with you."  She: "Yes, you do, I have it right here."  I said "I don't take calls like this," and I hung up.

call came up on caller ID, figure it must be a collector trying to be clever

I am sure it is Portfolio Recovery Associates trying to collect on a very old debt that belonged to the person that had what is now my phone number. They called from 757-321-6277 last week. I did not answer it then either but informed them over a month ago that the person they are looking for is not at this number. I guess they are stupid and will continue to call.

Hung up, didn't leave message.  NOT the first time I've had hang-ups from this area code/exchange.

Harrassed by Southwest Mortage claiming I was part of a scam

My caller ID came up Operation Smile.  When I answered they gave me a different call back number and it was not for Operation Smile.
