I got a call from them for the same thing. I also never got magazines. I checked my credit report after they called and it was not on there.

If your case is the same as mine then they don't have your social security number which is necessary to hit your credit.

I am getting the same calls about a magazine subscribtion from 7 years ago that I never got any magazines from and they indicated that I agreed to pay some crazy amount.........they tried to get me to pay them a settlement amount and I refused because i needed to get more information.  I am concerned this will harm my credit.......so my question is has this hit anyones credit report or is this some scam trying to get cc numbers?

Again they have started the calling.  No one on the other end.

I'm hanging up on them everytime.  My company pays me to work, not waste my time on silly calls like these.

I get calls from this number every couple of days...various times of the day and sometimes more than once a day. Called it back once and a man finally answered saying, "can I help you?". I just hung up! Getting very tired of this!!! How do we get it to stop????

I keep getting these too--about once a week. A reverse site look-up said it was a land line in the Virginia Beach area, but that was all (without paying). I had a pause, because I may have some relatives in that area. Glad to find out through this site that I was right not to answer. Only close friends and family have my cell number so as a general rule, I never answer a number I don't know (esp long distance) and if the really want me they'll leave a message.

These stupic companies just call to see if the numbers work. Its like a Global Connect. They go through a list and the ones where people answer they keep calling. I get these calls like 3-4 times a week. They call while i am at work. They leave a 2 second blank message. Its pissing me off. I got a cell phone for a reason.

No one is on the other end.  Tired of these silly games some of these companies play.

they demand to speak to me without identifying themselves when i got angry and told them to stop or I would report them. the man still unidentified was shocked that I was reporting the issue to the authorities

Something bogus here - first calls with no one on the end of the line then today a call over a bill from Readers Digest subscription - that I DON'T HAVE.  Last time I had an account for Reader's Digest magazine subscriptions was more than 5 yrs ago.  Told them this was bogus call - a scam - that they were calling a cell phone and had better stop - NOW.

i just got a call from that number and after reading all of this i call rejected that number but before i did that i sent them a message

This is from a debt collection company calling about the magazine scam mentioned above in Ashleys comment.  I agree totally with her they are high pressure, wont let you speak, interupt you when you do speak.

I have recieved three phone calls from this number in the past 2-3 days. First time no message, second time some distorted message and third time I answered and the asked for some person who doesn't live here and hung up.

I have received 3 calls from this number in the last 24 hrs.

I keep getting harassing calls about a scam magazine thing I fell for a few years ago. Just ignore it, they're sharks and not worth the bad day they cause. Don't waste your time.

I have been getting frequent calls from this number, and they never leave a voicemail. Help Me!!

Multiple calls over many weeks--usually daily.  When we answer, there is no one there; occasionally it only rings once or twice but still shows up on Caller ID as the same one.  Caller ID gives the name "National Service."

I have received 10 phone calls from this number, and they never leave a message. When I call back, I just get a busy signal. Wish they would leave me alone and quit calling!!!
