I am receiving calls on my Sprint cell phone from an automated system from he following number 757-447-9265. The call claims to be from Bank of America (BOA). A verbal message says "You are listening to an important message from Bank of America, your Visa card beginning with 435603 was limited to an internal debt security error. To avoid card suspension press 1, to get verified enter your 16 digit card number." The call originated from Chesapeake, Virginia. However, I do not have a Visa card from Bank of America. I am reporting this matter to my three credit reporting agencies as an additioal precaution.

These calls started about a week or so ago. I do not have any business of any kind with BOA. Did not notice the whole org/net thing at the time. Sent a DO NOT TXT....... message back. The calls actually stopped. That is until today. Looks like they're starting again. They all start the same way boa - number - @ infos.com/net/org whatever. The message is always "Attention Required. Call (727)2162029. Does anyone have an effective method for stopping these calls???

text to my cell from notice@bofa.net...not bank of america, just got off phone iwth fraud dept, someone is sending to tons of people via text, email and some are calling to get personal info--it is not bank of america, you can tell by the .net or .org (have rec'd both ways), theirs is .com. hsmith is right , that is the address to email either text or email rec'd and they will try to get these people--i have been the victim of ID theft 2x now and i am very careful, so reported as soon as rec'd. all 3 of our cell phones rang with the same text both times they came in at the same exact time, so they are going by address to get the phone numbers. good luck to all, be careful, this will get really bad before it is stopped.

I got a text from this number, purporting to be Bank of America. I know it isn't, & I've been getting Blitzed with all these texts, begging me to call - a different number, every time, though. Which also reveals that it isn't Bank of America, btw. I want the calls to stop. I wish I could hunt these people down, myself, & dish out some Marine Corps punishment on their sorry a***s; these slugs disgust me, trying to steal what others work so hard to get.

These people are trying to get your personal informatin. The message reads info@bofa.org First of all Bank of America is not an ORG like PBS. Who ever this is it is not BoA.com they are using several text messags from several accounts like urgent call boa your account is in trouble. The last someone counted there were 12 sites they were using. If you are a Sprint user you can do this to block them.
First of all DO  NOT TEXT THEM BACK. or call the #. It will give them or an auto dilal (computer program confirmation that this is a valid # then you can expect 2X,s as much spam.

If you have a different servis use this link for New York TImes artical.
