Caller (Dawn) was from a collection agency stating a judgment was going to be placed against a relative who has never lived at this address or with me. The call was made 3:42 eastern time on 2-18-08 Presidents Day.

Kirsten called non family members and distant family members saying "she needed a statement on a case # or ref. #". Called the office and the phone was answered as "Legal offices" I gave the ref. # and got Kristen, who would not tell me anything about this supposive case as I was not the person they were looking for...highly suspicious...use caution...

Received a call from this number & number 1-757-484-1123 from a Todd & Daniel who threatened, cursed, said a court action was filed, said they were going to take away our family items, and so on directed to my wife of over 10 years who had nothing to do with a debt from my previous marriage dating back to the mid 1990s!
| CP 2011-06-06 20:56:24 Unknown |
Jeff called my brothers exwife of 15 years and left a message stating that they were the norfolk county courthouse and that there is a case pending against me. They left a ref. # and there phone nuber. What the heck why can't these people get in trouble for this saying that they are a government entity and that there is court cases pending on us. There has got to be something illegal about this if you ask me.
| Who is the real crook here? 2011-06-06 20:56:24 Unknown |
They are quick to state we are crooks but - Just my opinion on who the real crooks are to many of us hardworking individuals out here who experience hard times - Yea who is the real crook in these instances - I would say the account holder is. In many cases they charge very high interest, charge various types of fees, break their word to help or are not willing to help at all, threaten more charges like court fees, and use all sorts of dishonest and illegal tactics to try and collect much, much more than what was originally charged! Who is the real crook - not the original cardholder who experienced some sort of unexpected hardship situation! And always always remember to file a counter suit against the collector (the real crooks) and tape record, record and document all of their illegal tactics and actions. And always, always request a jury trial in your counter suit as jurors are mot crooks like these collectors. And for them to sell these charged-off accounts over and over and over - well that is crooked in itself...and all of their tactics as specified and documented here along with their other numbers like 1-757-484-1123

Melissa left me a voice mail looking for my sister in-law who lives on the other end of the country, I haven't lived there for 20 years. Melissa claimed it was about a court case but she called on a gov't holiday so it was obviously bogus. I called them back, spoke to Daniel, he refused to tell me what this was about or what his company was and hung up on me twice.
Researched the number, it's a credit/collection agency even though Daniel claimed "It is nothing like that." Reverse lookup shows this number as a Verizon residential line. I wish I knew how to report them so they'd get their phone cut off.

I read ec's message and called the toll free number. After getting the third degree from the girl who answered, I explained politlely I was not their subject and she asked me to verify the last 4 SS numbers weren't mine, then agreed to delete my reference and phone number from their file.,,,,,,We'll see.

Message on home phone asking someone that I knew many years ago to call Megan at 7573922090 re file number WR........... When I called back, got Christine on the line. I asked for Megan & Christine said she could help. I tried to find out why my # was called & that's when the pushback & hostility started. Very obvious this one of those strong-arm collection agencies featured on the news & consumer advocacy programs. The more I tried to find out why my privacy was invaded, the more hostile Christine became. My lawyer said it's very hard to put these people out of business, b/c they change names, phone #'s, etc. Plus, they're as ubiquitous & as irritating as bedbugs!!

These people (Ly Ecia Whitney if you believe that, the Lye part I can by the way she did not answer when I called) called regarding a "a pending matter which will processed soon" calling early before 0900 and as much as 2-3 times a day. calling every No. they can search out. They do not send any mail notices either. Now these are just "debt Collectors" but they'll answer "Legal Office". They call everyone practically even if it was a past relation, must be doing people search online. They in fact called my Ex of 19yrs ago and told her I have a "warrant for my Arrest", of coarse it went to other family members as well. Quite frankly I told my son when asked that they should should come down to Texas and serve it, it's their job. They tried every tactic on my ex to get some current info. even a sorry threat like that. WELL I called them and they were arrogant but when I told them I was going to report them to the FTC they said "do what what you have too" and hung up. So I obliged and pulled the trigger and gave the FTC all I could on em.
The only address they would give is PO box 5128, Portsmouth, Va 23703. I see if you google "Fin Accelerated" the other complaints people had with there criminal tactics. Couldn't get a physical address (near Elm st) but their phone no. is a residential unlisted no. must be one of those "work IT from home schemes"

This is a great site! Thank you to everyone who posted here. I wish I would have run into this before my encounter with these jerk-offs. I received a couple voicemails from "Shannon" with a nice southern accent from Accelerated Financial. I have no idea who they are but "Shannon" stated in both messages that she was calling in regards to a legal action taken against me in the city I live in (which is all the way across the country from where they are) and that she needed to file a brief statement on my behalf, blah, blah, blah. I ignored the calls until they called a third time. I decided to answer the phone and had a little fun at "Shannon's" expense.
"Shannon" tried to get information from me...which I found kind of odd given she called me. I told her I was a homicide detective investigating the death of ME. I ran her through the gambit of questions; mentioned that we think this homicide had to do with a "financial matter" and that I was going to have her stay on the line with me while a Virginia State Police (where Accelerated is located) detective was going to their office to make take a statement from her...by this time she was freaking out and hung up on me.
If anyone watches Comedy Central, this prank call will sound familiar. I am just enough of an a-hole to pull it off on someone...and I did. If you can keep a straight face while doing this I found it extremely effective. "Shannon" all but lawyered up on our 4-minute phone call.
I doubt they will be calling me again. Stay tuned.

Please look into their tactics if you receive a call. The federal Fair Debt laws state certain things that debt collectors are not permitted to do, such as state that they are from the state, city, county, government etc. They are also not to IMPLY such things either. They are also not to threaten legal action unless to notify you that such action in under way.
Please don't forget that one of the "supervisors" at Accelerated is Daniel Inge. A convicted felon. You can search for him on the Viginia State Police's website. His employment is publicly listed with the above company. This information is freely and publically available.

Judging from reports on 800Notes, Accelerated appears to be a serial violater of federal debt collection laws. It's illegal for a debt collector to disclose any information about a consumer to a third-party, even if that third-party is a relative. So your relative has grounds to undertake these legal measures:
1) File a complaint with his or her state's attorney general. (The contact info for each state's attorney general is at http://www.naag.org Just scroll down to the national map and click on your state.)
2) File a complaint with the Virginia attorney general at http://www.oag.state.va.us/FORMS/ContactForm.html or call 804-786-2071. (The crooks at Accelerated are in Virginia.)
3) File a complaint online with the Federal Trade Commission here:
https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01
3) Sue Accelerated for violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. These websites offer more information on dealing with outlaw debt collectors and, if need be, suing them:

Dani and/or Jena from Accelerated Solutions called me and my husband looking for a relative who lives in another state saying our county was processing a legal matter by the end of the week that the relative probably wasn't aware of and I needed to get them to call Dani or Jena right away. They were evasive with my questions and when I told them I work for the County they got even more secretive. They won't like it if they call me again now that I have their number, literally.

They violated more than one provision of federal debt collection laws by making false threats and by disclosing information about you to a third-party. If you read the messages in this thread and other threads regarding the crooks at Accelerated, you'll see such illegal behavior is standard practice for them.
In addition to the FTC, I suggest you also file a complaint with your state's attorney general and the Virginia attorney general. And you may also want to considering suing their @sses in federal court for violating your rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. See my message above from Feb. 17 for links to report Accelerated to law enforcement and for other links that can assist you in suing them for fun and profit. Good luck.

Got a phone call the other day on a debt that is 6 years old that I don't even know if it is legit or not threatening to sue me in the county where I live. Called me at work and called a relatives house telling the people who answered the phone both times that it was in reference to a law suit against me. The only time I spoke to them and told them to quit calling that the debt was past the SOL, "Daniel" got on the phone and was incrediably rude, telling me I was stupid and yada, yada, yada. I filed a complaint with the FTC. Anybody know if the FTC has taken any action against these a***oles (excuse my language).

Ever since they recently oozed forth from the muck, Accelerated Financial has quickly established itself as a bunch of shady debt collector thugs.
Here's another message thread about Accelerated's calls. Note that someone claiming to be one of their employees added messages threatening people with lawsuits: http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-757-484-1123
If Accelerated Financial has: disclosed any information about you to a third-party -- even if that third-party is your family member; falsely threatened to sue you; implied or threatened that you are going to be arrested; or made any other false threats, then they have violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (at the very least). Making false threats of lawsuits and impending arrest or disclosing a consumer's information to a third party are common illegal tactics used by crooked debt collectors. On those grounds alone, you have more than enough cause to sue them for damages.
There are several routes you can take in this matter, and I suggest you take them all! :)
1) file a complaint online with the Federal Trade Commission here:
https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01
2) File a complaint with your state's attorney general. (The contact info for each state's attorney general is at http://www.naag.org Just scroll down to the national map and click on your state.)
3) Since Accelerated is located in Virginia, file a complaint with the Virginia attorney general at http://www.oag.state.va.us/FORMS/ContactForm.html or call 804-786-2071.
3) Send Accelerated Financial Solutions a letter directing them to cease all communication with you and warning them that you'll pursue every applicable legal sanction against them in federal court if they fail to comply. Here is their address:
Accelerated Financial Solutions
P.O. Box 5128
Portsmouth, VA 23703
Toll Free 877-484-5455
Fax 757-484-6722
www.acceleratedfinancial.net
Just be sure to sen it via *certified* US Mail with a return receipt request, and save a copy of your letter. If they contact you more than once after receiving your cease communication letter, then they are breaking the law (again) and subject to monetary penalties for each violation if you successfully sue them for it.
4) Check out these websites for more information on protecting yourself from outlaw debt collectors and suing them:
